FYI, I changed the star ratings only because I couldn't get rid of them. I don't want to influence the folks

First of all---thank you for your submissions! The repsonse has been awesome!!!
I've sent some of you private messages but one last note to all as we near the final days...
If you use characters, they should be unique and there should be at least two. I'm trying to capture "spirit" rather than a human likeness. The likeness should imply they are close in "spirit" meaning, they are probably best friends. So, nothing that implies a gender, age, place, etc.
So,please avoid art that implies a product or image that might give the wrong impression. For example, no kids, cause I'm not marketing to kids, So, no box of presents, balloons, ghosts, clowns, etc. Clean, simple, eclectic, not silly. Also, unique in that it doesn't look like standard clip art.
If objects, images are part of the text, then, in addition to the above, simple is better.
Please write back if you have any questions or need more clarification.
Thank you all. For those of you using smiles, would be interested in seeing one that imitates a non-gender someone throwing their head back, eyes closed because they are laughing---pure delight and whoever is with them is probably crying they are laughing so hard.....
Also, on Friday, Jan 28th in the, I am having a logo party and a few friends/family will join me in selecting the top 5 from which I will make a final selection before the contest closes on Sat the 29th. The champagne bubbles will be floating everywhere! My best to you all!
Drafts 15-18. Thank you--I like where you're going...am thinking more ambiguous to appeal to more people re: age/gender and the activity. For example, when I look at the kid I think winter sports and when at I look at the other, I think dancer...make sense?
Hello Shaza! Thanks for the black and whites and thanks for the feedback on the clip art/more realistic trade-offs...very helpful. I think the upward motion of the arm wrap (the first draft) is more of what I'm looking for and as much realism on the arms/face as you can give me w/o sacrificing the integrity that you talked about.
I posted some black and white versions. I was surprised how well the bottom left design came through. I didn't add in the "Playful Spirits" text this time so you can see how the design works by itself.
Thank you for the feedback! I've submitted a set for you to see. As for your clip art comments: I think designers tend to lean toward a clip art'ish solution when you are looking for something that will work in black and white (as per your comments on the project page) getting anything more realistic and not "clip art" or too cartoony, is difficult when you are looking to have it work in black and white as well. I can to a draft in black and white only also if you'd like to see that, but a lot of the detail will be lost. I'll submit that anyway so you can see it- who knows, maybe its exactly what you are looking for!
Hello #10--Thank you! I like that movement has been captured and in plural. Am leaning more towards font that is simple, less cursive. I may not be using the right words here, but, similar to my comments to #1, am picturing more human and unique, rather than clip art like. Again, not sure if I'm describing that appropriately.
Hello #9! I like that the logo is simple. I'm looking for a more grown-up kind of playful.
To all, I should tell you that I'm from the great Northwest--Portland, Oregon. So, when I'm thinking about who will like my products, I'm thinking of the many activities related to the area, like the outdoors and eclectic.
I'm trying to capture the essence of the wonder and inner awesomeness felt by the customer when they are in their element--like outdoors, or celebrating with friends, etc.
#1--I like the concept and the visual--simple. Size looks good. Any way to make the the arms less 'clip art' like and more human-like. And, are you willing to present other colors so I can have a look?
#2, Thank you for the character...am looking for a classy and unique kind of playful image, rather than cartoon-like.
Adyyy--thank you for the multiple drafts. I'm thinking my audience and I aren't quite that formal.Would love to see you continue.
#8--I like the font and am thinking that the symbol, character should stand out more than the name. Highlighting the dots on the "i" also caught my eye...would be fun to see an additional twist on those...like a twinkle?
To all of you, because the name of the company is plural, am also wanting to see visuals depicting "plural". Hope that makes sense.

anyway, I guess there's no harm to it since it didn't win and it's allowed to be used.
Good luck!
