I'd like to point out that while I like twirly/wavy textures, if it's too obvious we're looking at a plant, it will not work. I am not a botanist.

The contest has been extended by three days because there are a few designs that I really like, but nothing has floored us yet.

We definitely prefer circular emblems over boxy ones, and prefer abstract presentations of the "FK7" portion.

Things to note: FK7 must appear in the proper order (F, K and then 7), and FK7 must be decipherable on some level.

Top contenders (in no particular order):
    #260/#261/#262/#252
    #156
    #191/#190
    #126
    #63

Keep in mind the emblem must be visible and not too obtrusive as a watermark.

    Attention Designers!!

MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files.

    Thanks,

    MB/LDG/LS Team

After going through all ~100 designs, I've come to realize the following:

-Any "squared" emblem or "FK7" inside a box designs are not to my liking, and should probably be avoided.
-I prefer abstract presentations of "FK7"
-Though I like orange, it is too punchy and should be avoided from now on
-Olive green/gray or red/white are still favorite color combos
    -Avoid blue

Current 4 stars selections are among favorites.
#92, #63 and #83 among top choices so far.

    Thank you!

I'd also like to point out that emblems that are overly big will not work (like #80). If used as a watermark, it would distract too much.

    Thanks!

Thanks for all the submissions so far!

    Things to point out:
-Anything that incorporates aperture rings, camera-like shapes or forms will be eliminated. Thousands of logos use those, it's too clichéd.
-So far, all the logos presenting the "FK7" in abstract shapes or forms have been my favorite.

I'll be rating submissions accordingly until the end, and will send feedback via PM to those designs I like and think would merit revisions.

    Thank you!

#20 - doesn't work for us, but thank you for the submission.

#21 - Looks better in green, good idea. I would make the "FK7" the same font as "photography" but keep the same accent color. The lack of symmetry between the two words take away from the elegant emblem you designed. I'd like to see it in a more olive green color too. One of my favorite submissions so far along with #11.

#17 - Not opposed to abstract shapes appearing in the logo, but it doesn't work for me.

#18 - The emblem is moving in the good direction, but it's still too flowery. Flowery textures that accent the logo are good because they add a slight feminine touch (and since the brides are usually the ones who look for the photographer, a slight feminine touch is warranted). But since the emblem is the first thing you look with this design, the feminine look overpowers the masculine. If that makes any sense. I much prefer the text font of #14, though.

    Thank you!

#15 - Don't like the font, and the camera-like ring is too ordinary
#16 - Too simple, do not like graffiti-like or brush-like fonts

    Thanks for the submissions!

#14 - I however very much like the character alignment for the "FK7"!

    #10-#11 Very nice!

#14 Love the concept and elaborate emblem, but the flower is too feminine.

Thank you again for your submissions!

#6-7: I like the symmetry a lot, but I'd like to see some textures inside the emblem (something along the lines of the "h" in the branding of hofferphotography) rather than simple gradients, to add a layer of sophistication

#8-9: I love the shape but the 7 is easy to miss if you don't know to look for it.

Very good first drafts though, thank you very much!

Forgot to add I also like olive green/white/gray combos (like Tony Hoffer's branding: http://hofferphotography.com/blog/)
