We chose the name PetroFrontier because we are exploring for petroleum in a basin which is relatively unexplored. However the geologic data available on the basin points to potential for massive oil resources which could make Australia self sufficient in oil production. Therefore this basin is a new Frontier for Petroleum. The lands are in an Australian desert. PetroFrontier is an international oil and gas corporation engaged in the exploration, acquisition and development of a massive light oil resource the Georgina Basin in the Northern Territory of Australia. PetroFrontier has a 50% operated working interest in 13.6 million acres (54,850 km2) of land in the Georgina Basin. PetroFrontier’s lands are geologicaly similar to the proven billioin barrel (4.1 billion barrels recoverable) Bakken field in North America. PetroFrontier’s gross (100%) lands contain resources totaling 11.3 billion barrels of oil. PetroFrontier is a Canadian Corporation with a wholly owned sub in Australia. All operations are in Australia and management is split between Canada and Australia. |
