After reading all your comments and looking at rough sketches till now we are not getting what you really looking for. Can you please re brief?

this needs to look real, 3D, follow guidelines. Submitting 10 designs that do not regard instruction does not equal one good design.

OVERVIEW
The Pendulum strategy is to “Achieve National Security Through Energy Independence”.
Currently, the green movement in America is gaining momentum with the intention of reducing waste and consumption as well as promoting alternative fuel sources that will ease our reliance on foreign suppliers and clean up the environment. The Pendulum strategy takes this movement one step further by proposing that our reliance on foreign energy supplies actually endangers our national security and perpetuates the need for military involvement overseas. This endangers the lives of our soldiers, damages our reputation in the global community and threatens our domestic borders. In addition, it endangers other ‘actors’ within the strategic environment with whom the US interacts. Only by actively promoting strategies and technologies that emphasize self reliance within our borders can we attain true security.
This movement towards energy self-reliance through Green Security, or GSEC, is something that is already well in motion in China, Saudi Arabia, and several other players in the global community. Not only that, its gaining serious traction within our own Department of Defense. To reference JFK and his national incentive to beat the Soviets into orbit and a be the first to put a man on the moon, this is the next ‘Race to the Moon’.
OBJECTIVE
To create a website that is a resource for all things pertaining to Pendulum’s goal of making Green Security a household term.
COMPANY POSITIONING
Pendulum seeks to be the go-to source for information and resources pertaining to Green Security. We are the foremost experts on the subject of National Security and how that can be achieved through energy independence.

BUSINESS GOALS
Pendulum is a unique company in that it does not seek to gain financially from this effort. Instead, it seeks to educate and motivate the public into talking about GSEC and, ultimately, influence the law makers that vote on initiatives that will further the cause of Green Security.
WHAT ASSETS ARE AVAILABLE
Jim has uploaded numerous documents and charts that illustrate the vision and strategy behind Pendulum - its goals and its philosophy.
AUDIENCE
Essentially, any citizen of the United States that has any interest in our national security, energy consumption and foreign policy and is willing to expand their knowledge. They are people of all ages, male and female, who value intelligence and have a high level of education themselves. Ultimately, it is our goal to have this material put in front of high level decision makers within state and local governments.
BRAND DESCRIPTORS/TONE
Experts. Informative. Knowledgable. Game-changing. Paradigm shifting. Green. A trusted resource. An influencer.
COMPETITION
None exist, in the traditional sense. Obviously, policies and strategies that conflict with the interests of Pendulum or compete for public attention would be considered obstacles. But there are no other organized entities that are touting ‘Green Security’ as their agenda, per se.
INSPIRATION/TONE
Hopeful but serious. A sense of urgency. Inspiring. Adventure. Essential for survival.
DIFFERENTIATION FROM COMPETITION AND MARKET OFFERINGS
This is the FIRST organized effort to spread the idea of GSEC among the public and within the ranks of those who create policy for the US. Pendulum has access to expertise and will become the foremost authority on the subject of “National Security Through Energy Independence”.

EXECUTION CONSIDERATIONS
Green Security could be a complicated subject to some, with ties to many facets of the government and our policies, both domestic and foreign. Our challenge is to help Pendulum present their material in a clear and understandable way so that they come across as forward- thinking experts in the field of national security.
The site will have 3-4 pages that will be somewhat static in nature and serve to explain the mission and purpose of Pendulum and the GSEC movement. However the rest of the site will serve as a sounding board that features constantly updated information on subjects that relate to GSEC.
PRIORITY OF COMMUNICATIONS
National Security can only be achieved through Energy Independence.
The energy policies of the US government have a direct effect on our security as well as the security of the other ‘actors’ within the strategic environment that we interact with.
Energy Independence is essential to sustaining our way of life
If we are to expand our influence, we must do so as a self-reliant nation

I HAD A BREAK THROUGH TODAY AND IT PRETTY MUCH ALL CLICKED.
THE LOGO IS A CHESS PIECE BECAUSE IT REPRESENTS "STRATEGY"
BUT IT MUST ALSO REPRESENT "VISION" AS WELL AS BEING "GREEN"
THE DESIGN I CAME UP WITH TODAY PRETTY MUCH TIES THEM ALL TOGETHER.
NOTICE THE NEW SPACE AGE "P"
I WANT THE "P" TO BE ABLE TO COME OUT OF THE CROWN. LIKE A FLOWER GROWING. SO IT MUST FIT.
THE "P" IS IN A LEAF / EYE SHAPED CASE
THE CROWN IS SIMILAR TO TULIP PEDALS
IMAGINE THAT RAIN WATER FALLS INTO TO CROWN
THEN FLOWS THROUGH THE CHANNELS AND DOWN THE
BLACK PART OF THE COLUMNS INTO THE VENT/ DUCT STRUCTURES AND THAT IT IS SORT OF STORED IN A BIRDBATH BASE (DONT GO TOO CRAZY ON THE BIRDBATH.

It only makes sense and seems fair that those who can evolve with me and be adaptable and those who check several times a day (AND DOWNLOAD AND STUDY MY DIAGRAMS) should win.
As designers consider what the simplified black and white or green and black logo will look like. It should be a rendering that can have both many colors and details or very few and still be the logo people will recognize. Again if you have specific questions in regards to something I uploaded then ask.
THIS WAY THE PLANET BEHIND THE "P" IN THE LEAF/ ALL SEEING EYE CAN BE THE EARTH, SUN, MOON, AS A CIRCLE!!!
AS I STATED EARLIER...THE PENTAGON WAS AN IDEA I SUGGESTED WE TRY, BUT I WAS NOT SURE OF.
IT SEEMS THE TRIANGLE WITH THE POINT UP AND THE "FUTURISTIC" NASA STYLE FONT GOES BEST WITH THE SPACE THEME.
I HAVE CREATED THE BASIC DESIGN THAT BEST REPRESENTS THE DIRECTION THE EVOLVING LOGO IS GROWING IN. ALL I NEED DESIGNERS TO DO IS REFINE IT AND CLEAN IT UP. DONT GET TOO WRAPPED UP IN REINVENTING THE WHEEL.
