Again I'd like to thank everyone for their submissions, I'm really looking forward to seeing this through and picking one of you guys! I'll be on again before the contest ends to leave some updated feedback.
Feedback for lakshmiks:
Prefer the old symbol like in #73 without the additional elements in it. Maybe some abstract mountain-like shapes behind the text with the sun-like symbol peeking over them with a slight illuminating effect.
Feedback for Sergem:
Like the variations of the logo, shippo might be onto something :). I like the slightly tilted version of the symbol on #120 but probably not so obvious a shadow. #119 also looks nice and clean but a little plain for what I'm aiming for.
Feedback for raindesign:
Probably not looking for a deconstructed font look but like the swoop on #104. Maybe a more cleaned up looking font with separate or mildly connecting building symbology to the left or above of the text.
Feedback for amrakim:
I really like the font of #117, maybe shrink the P slightly and make the dojo shape inside the icon slightly larger proportionally. Also, could the dojo icon be more of a silvery color.
Hi shippo. Hey thanks for that suggestion and I think that's really cool. I'd consider that as an option and will see how it'd turn out. Those are actually two letter Ps one on top of the other and as if both of them are doing a cartwheel:)
Yo sergem, on #118, you should get rid of the background circle and morph the Pd into a circular shape by pulling them into curves on the outside and leaving the hard corners on the inside, if that makes sense.
I'd do it, but the Pd is your idea. I think it might turn into something nice ;)
-I want to get away from the face idea. Just don't see that working well.
-I like the symbol / text combo for overall logo. Symbol placement either above or to the left of the text.
-Text should be placed horizontally not vertically.
The current front-runners are the items marked as 4 stars or greater. Let me know if you have any questions!
First off, I'd like to thank you all for the hard work and great submissions! There are a lot of really great logos and I have a few top choices, but feel the contest could really benefit from a few more days. This will especially be beneficial since a large part of the initial contest was spent on exploring logo concepts; now I have a much better idea what I want.
There will be a 3 day extension of the contest and also raising the prize to $175. I'll be sending you guys some personalized feedback shortly as well as posting here some updated and less ambiguous logo requirements.
Thanks for all the submissions everyone. I'll make a decision by end of Monday. If I can't settle on a specific winner, I'll most likely extend the contest with a guaranteed prize.
Lots of good submissions coming in! I'd like the ideas of playing with the letters (#41, #48, #56) and the big symbol with text under it (#50). The face in #54 is still a bit too hard to read the Panojo text in, doesn't stand out right away unless you know to look for it. Also, I really like the #50-#52, could I see some more variations of the font under it and also size/position of the symbol?
Thanks all for the submissions, some good ideas floating around! One thing I would specifically like to see more of are branding-quality logo icons to go along with the logo text.
Feedback on #30 (shippo):
Like the bottom of the J spannig the logo and the sun element of the J dot, maybe polish the concept up a bit with a few more variants. Blue/green font doesn't seem to gradient too well together, probably going for the bluish color or orange/reddish.
Feedback on #27, #28, #29 (raindesign):
I like the text/image placement on these. Black on red looks nice but I don't think I want quite that thick a font. I like the idea of having an icon along with the text. Don't want anything too martial though.
Feedback on #21, #22, #23 (raindesign):
I like the font on this one and color options (both are good). Nose is a little big in the face, and grass isn't doing him much good :). Same comments about the face as in the previous comment. Maybe the grass or other vegetation could be applied across the whole logo, perhaps as a backdrop or top/bottom element.
Feedback on #18, #19, #20 (amrakim):
Still like the idea of a face with the O and the J. The website will be panojo.com but I don't think I want it in my logo at this stage. Like the font and face much better than in #8, could I see more variants of the face and perhaps different ideas about what it could be doing (like you have with the lightbulb). Probably want to go with either a slightly more polished cartoony face or a really wise-looking inviting face.
Feedback on #17, #24, #25, #26 (lakshmiks):
Like the stylized font and the logo better on the left. Colors are nice as well. Could I see some more variants on the logo and font face. I like aspects of that font such as the 2 dots on the bottom of the P and the dots inside the o's but it seems a tad bit too industrial.
