Thanks again for all the effort and in designing draft logos! Just in the last few hours/day I've received dozens of new drafts that really have seemed to get on the the right path of what I was looking (and some that I didn't know I was looking for!); I've extended the deadline by another 3 days and increased the award amount to $300.
Based on what I am seeing, I wanted to provide some more information:
1. My preference would be a logo designed around "Our World Exposed" either by use of initials or a symbol; however, I am still open to ideas based on "Global Exposure" or variants on my name/initials "William Said", "Will Said", "WS", or "WAS"
2. I really like the logos that are simple, without being too over the top, or loud. The best ones are those that have an understated beauty, but a strong impact. I thought I would like the rainbow colors, but I have decided that is a bit much.
3. The winning design will likely be one that incorporates either a hidden symbol or element, uses subtle illusion, or has dual meanings, as these are at the core of my photography concepts.
4. I'd like to stay away from references to film (as I've transitioned to digital!) or designs that do NOT have any connection to photography and/or travel.
5. Also, please take a look at the logos I've used as reference, and the the website logofaves.com has many great concepts that are similar to what I am talking about.
@FiddlinNita - I'm not sure why the link isn't working! I'll try something else.
@DanielWatson - Can you play with the tripod/airplane logo some more? I feel like it's ALMOST in the right direction, but there's something not quite right, but I can't put my finger on it! Maybe a bit more detail, or some variations? I do like the concept though!
@Sudip80 - I can't help but almost see a swastika at first glance in the new drafts! that's probably not going to work. lol
I did some VERY fast, VERY draft examples of one idea (with some variations) of what I am looking for. This is definitely just to give you an idea, and am not stuck on any particular color or concept. Be as creative as you can, while keeping it simple! Thanks in advance to everyone!
I found some other links to reference, since the Logofaves.com website it acting up. I also like the possible use of 3D elements, very tamed, in the design. If it makes sense, I like the "feel" of the Veriation Music logo and Lochness logo, incorporating negative space elements or illusions.
CyberRealm - I don't know why it's doing that, and it looks like the website is having trouble, but i'll post new links!
In general, I'd like to avoid obvious references in imagery (such as a camera or road). I like the idea of using the aperture ring, but only if it is used in a more abstract, or deconstructed way...?
The drafts that Sudip80 submitted are going in the right direction, but not quite there.
