The results are pretty cool already, but we would like to have some variants with flat shaded font (because it looks much clearer when printed). Shading the logo/mark is fine though. And what about the color scheme? Having two colors is cool, but blue/green may be a bit too colorful in the end. One color+black or one color+gray may be the better choice.

We would love to see more designs like #121, #51 or #44, that are based on abstract shapes, without the earth in it. Maybe somewhat angular, as opposite to all the very round designs.

#44 and #51 are nice examples of abstract logos. We're not sure yet, if we want an abstract logo in the end or something that illustrates the geospatial focus of our company, such as #21 or #87. However, it seems that the lab idea (flasks/electrons) doesn't really work out. Thanks a lot for trying this, there are some cool designs (e.g. #59), but especially combined with the earth, this easily looks like a company for nukes or world domination. But that's not our profile ;-) -- we're a small, but professional company for (mostly geospatial) software: If you want to go on with the geospatial thing: we would like to see some more designs that use stylised maps instead of a globe (as in the background of #43). We also like the digitized continents/areas in #37 and #5: this expresses that our business is to deal with abstractions of the real world (e.g. in maps, but also in the sense of Occam's Razor) quite nicely.

To clarify what we wrote about Europe: we didn't mean that Europe should be highlighted in any way. It's just that Europe (Greenwich meridian) should be in the center.

Also, could we see draft #23 without the arrows or with different variations?

Great updates, we think we're progressing here! draft #25 is nice, but we prefer having the text on the right side. draft #26 is a nice example of a simple logo with meaning behind it, but it's not quite it. drafts #32-#35 are also nice (simple), but we don't like the font a lot. Writing the 'labs' a little smaller and in one line is a nice alternative to writing it below. draft #37 is nice in the way it integrates the electrons idea, the lines could be a little thinner.

By the way, we're Europe/Germany based, so having Europe in the middle for map based logos would be nice.

The geospatial aspect is well visualised by having a world map or a globe as part of the logo. This could work well. Still, we would like to see some alternatives that put a focus on the "labs" aspect. Ideas: erlenmeyer flasks, atom/electron sphere (three ellipsoids). Or surprise us with your own creative ideas. Important for us is that your design meets the right balance between a cool style and professional appeal.

Wow! Thanks for the input so far. #17 is our favorite at the moment, clean and professional. #5 is also nice, but may be a bit too much eye candy for a corporate logo. How about simplifying this one a bit? Having the name on the right side of the logo seems to work best, but could we see logo variants that put Occam and Labs in two separate lines?

The general idea is quite nice, but we don't like the red/blue scheme too much...
