I can make those changes, but I cannot submit them now that the contest is locked. You can either re-open the contest, or you can select #24 as the winner and I will make the changes before sending the files along.
Hey could you please do 2 more changes for me??
No. 24 is the one I want.
COuld you adjust the bottom yellow rectangle right hand side (unshaded in the timber grain) to drop straight down on the right hand side. Just like a rectangle, no longer like a weatherboard. Probably like you had it at the start before you made them look like a weatherboard.
2. COuld you remove the 2 black circles (nail holes) only in the bottom left hand dark red rectangle for the bottom one only.
THis will make the whole symbol look exactly like we clad a weatherboard house as the bottom boards on the house are usually different to all the ones above it.
That would be awesome.
Thanks heaps again.
Oh and also, could you take the grain off the lower rectangles like on draft 21 and fade them both to this lighter shade. Draft 21's lower rectangles are perfect.
Thanks, no more changes I promise!
Just to be a bit more specific that is all of the "northwest corner" words to move as they are currently positioned (one on top of the other) but to move together to the right and down lower. Let me know if anything is a bit unclear and I can reword it.
Thanks again.
Thanks heaps for those changes!
No.23 is almost it! I love the nail holes on the pic that is sorted dont change a thing, same with the shape of the outside black rectangle.
Could you do one last thing, re: positioning of the words Northwest corner. Could you move it a bit lower again, and move it further right as well, practically inline with the edge of the yellow rectangles on the right side. (You may have to shrink it a bit too so it looks off centre). I kind of want it offset a bit from the centre and also the middle. I dont mind if you move it around a bit and send through quite a few versions just to get this bit sorted as this is the final version and I am very happy with it! I will probably just pick one from what you send through from here. After that I might send you some details for the business card. This is perfect for the front I will just need you to add some details for the back of it if you are interested.
Its really hard to choose now! But, no.16 looks brilliant!
Could you please try: on no.16:
1.A slightly taller black rectangle
2.Drop the "northwest corner" letters midway between the bottom of the symbol and the bottom of the rectangle. They are too close at the moment.
3.Could you shrink the northwest corner letters back down slightly only (sorry!) to make them just a little smaller and then align it to the rightside - just to offset it a little bit.
4. Send that through as is
Then with that done send modify the logo pic with the following:
5. Send a small adjustment to the logo pic which is could you place a small black circlular oval tall side up(to resemble nail holes)in both of the bottom corners of all red rectangles. ie. 8 ovals
6. Could you make the bottom faded boards just a little more brighter (not much) just so they are a little more visible
That would be awesome!
Sorry yes I get it now! It was more a case of making the font size larger in relation to the black rectangle that it appears in. The black rectangle would appear in the corner of the page on my invoices and quotes and stuff so I would have to enlarge the whole rectangle to get the larger font.
However in no.11 its now a perfect size I think.
Could you please try a couple of things? I really like where these drafts are going.
1. I really like the orange / brown red colors on no.10 the best, could they be changed to be the same on no.11 and on all future drafts.
2. I really like the rectangular squares on 11 as the symbol. Can you make them look like weatherboards on the side of a house? Ie. the top one slightly overlaps the bottom one for each board. I know this could be a bit difficult.
4. I really like the black grain running through the symbols, however could they stand out more? Maybe larger, or blacker , even if they end up being less detailed. I am after a very simple picture on the logo with minimal detail. More shapes
3. Could I get the final logo design of this on its black rectangular shape in a more pronouced rectangle. At the moment its fairly square but a longer thinner one might stand out more. Either wider and short. Or stand it upright and make it tall and thin.
Hope this makes sense, but I really like where these are heading.
Drafts #10 and #11 reflect the requested changes. The logos will be able to be blown-up as big as you like (you could put it on a billboard or the side of a building) without losing detail.
Let me know what else I can do to make the perfect logo for you!
I will submit more drafts with the changes you asked for later today. Could you clarify what you mean by "larger fonts?" The size of the fonts and logo can be bigger, smaller, or whatever you need for your purposes.
Hey I really like the larger fonts. I would even say something larger would be great as they are still more business card size but I really like the font. Are you able to play around with both symbols? I like them both but they are very generic shapes and I would really like something that could be looked at and recognised as a shape to do with the construction I am involved with. COuld the rectangular one be reshaped to resemble a weatherboard? Its already very close as is. The circular one could be defined more with the timber grain standing out. I like the grain a lot. I was imagining a logo in mind that was very basic and simplistic in appearance but recognisable for someone who works in the construction industry. I hope that makes sense!
Also in regards to the size of the drafts, they would be perfect on the face of a business card however on the invoices or paperwork that I would use the logo on, they would probably seem a bit small and blend into the background a bit. I would say that perhaps some of the fonts on the invoice may be a bit larger than the fonts on the logo so it would not stand out enough.
Wow I really like these last 2 drafts, no. 5 and 6. I dont know which one I like more. THe symbol in no 6 with a side on view of the rectangles is similar to the side of a large building clad in weatherboards, if anything its probably just a bit small. And no. 5 is awesome with the letters slightly overlapping each other whist also being offset as well, and I like the symbol and its colors too. I think the symbol could be slightly larger as well. On both it would be great if the timber grain work could stand out a bit more too as its a great feature on the symbol but still a little easy to miss.
Also, in terms of fonts I like what I have seen being used a lot lately which is one word in bold lettering and the next word in very thin letters usually with a line between them to break them up.
Hi, I like draft 3 the best with the solid black background. Not sure about the symbol although I definitely want some type of symbol or icon in it. Was also wanting something more stylised that looks as though it could only be done by a graphic desiginer on special software.
