This is a *really* important point for us: "Workers Compensation Journal" is WAY more important than "North Carolina" in the name. North Carolina should stand out LESS than "Workers Compensation Journal. Thank you!
Some clarification:
(1) the words "Workers' Compensation" should be the most prominent test
(2) please keep your designs in the correct aspect ratio (as specified in the brief)
Also, please don't feel like you need to incorporate a cross in your designs.
Hi! One important thing that we probably should have made more clear in the original brief: "North Carolina" should be less prominent than "Workers Compensation" (or "Workers' Compensation Journal"). "Workers' Compensation" is actually the most important phrase in the logo, and North Carolina is the least important. We love references to the state in the visual elements, but "Workers' Compensation" needs to stand out most in the text. In terms of our favorite designs so far, we really like the clever use of the lighthouse and Blue Ridge Mountains to refer to the state of NC. We also like the way that designs #1 and #2 integrate an emergency cross with a hammer - these designs are working for us because the friendly typeface and hammer are balancing the potential scariness of the red cross. Thanks so much everyone for your designs so far!!
