| The most important thing I want this logo to do is to convey the name of my business as "B" "I" Tee's. I want to the "B" and the "I" to be prounounced seperatly. As opposed to "BI" Tee's. The B & I are initials of the words Block Island, the location of my store. | ||

I had a logo created here a year ago. (attached) At the time, I loved it, but I have run into difficulties with using it in different print media. I now realize that it is too complicated. The color gradients in it make it too costly to reproduce. I want my new logo to have a more basic layout so that it will be more versatile. This logo will be used for signage, advertising, business cards, and printed on T Shirts. I want a Color Logo, but one that will also work as Black & White for certain advertising applications. I am also including a logo from my other business, a Toy Store. (Building Blocks) While I definetly want the new logo to look different from the Toy Store logo, I am including it to show how a logo can look great in color and black & white. The last attachment is a black & white image of Block Island, the location of my store. While it is not a requirment that this "Island Silouette" be part of my logo, our visitors really identify with its unique shape and as you can see, its part of the existing logo for both of my stores. The tagline "Coolest Shirts On The Island" does NOT have to be incorporated into the new logo, but I am not opposed to seeing what it would look like as part of it. My general feeling is that it may make the logo too busy, or complicated with it included in my new logo. I also want to say that Block Island is a Summer Beach Resort, 14 miles off the coast of Rhode Island, in the USA. It is a 1 hour ferry ride to get here. We have beautiful beaches and lots open space. Our visitors come here to be outside, relax and take in the beach lifestyle here. Shorts and sandals are the norm. No one wears a suit and tie here. I want my new logo to reflect that beach lifestyle thats so important to our visitors. |
