Draft #42 by jtscreative is a derivative of #6 by elements, therefore has been taken down.

The car in draft #26 and #27 by tinrex is a replica of winning design from a similar contest site, therefore have been taken out.

    Hi folks,

First of all thank you to everyone who has made a submission. I really appreciate your effort! After looking at the newer drafts I feel a little better and think some of you are definitely heading in the right direction.

Alot of the designs being uploaded seem pretty kiddish to me. I think we need to remember that we are in a very serious industry. Adding a touch of friendliness is good, but lets not overdo it. In terms of the style, i must say i like #14 because it gives me a clean and sophisticated logo that is instantly recognisable and also a very nice colour scheme that goes well with my site. However, he does not address my BOI stands for Buy Online Insurance issue and also, i don't seem to understand what his symbol means and thus cannot relate it back to my business.

I hope this round of comments will lead to some fantastic submissions. I can see some of you are really getting there and starting to see exactly what i'm looking for. I'll be launching my stationary design competition after this and will definitely be inviting some of you to submit there :)

Here we go with the individual comments:

#15 : Nice try. I like the touch of friendliness to the logo but the whole thing looks a little too kiddish.

#27 : I think your symbol is pretty stylish. However, the whole outlook feels like a logo for a racing team, more than an insurance company.

#30 : I've replied to your message and given you my feedback there.

#31 : I love the fact that you used the two "O's" in Motor to form the headlights instead of the wheels. That's very creative! I would like to see you do something that fits in one line and also uses 2 colour schemes. I love your idea but i think it needs a touch of sophistication to it. Good job nonetheless!

#37 : I think a special mention should go out to elements who seems to be working tirelessly to get it just right! I truly appreciate the effort you've put in and you are really listening to what i'm saying. Your delivery is good and i think #37 comes really close. I still find it a little too complicated (perhaps we don't need both the car design and the shopping cart and the mouse?). It's just too many things to focus on, you know what i mean? I think your logo just lacks that, otherwise it would be great!

Thanks Steven. I agree with your assessment fully! Some comments on the work seen thus far:

#14 - I like the fact that you have brought in a nice and unique symbol into the logo (although i'm trying to figure out what it represents?) and I also like your colour scheme. However, it doesn't tell me BOI stands for Buy Online Insurance. I hope you can try to incorporate that in. Might have something good going here :)

#8 - Might want to check your spelling. Also, i'm sorry but i don't get what your design is trying to represent?

d3zign - Thanks for trying to work on my motor car idea. Clearly your curve design looks alot better than mine. I do still think however it lacks the "wow" factor. Also, your wheels look like a copy of the Mercedes Benz logo.

    Hi everyone,

I will have to agree with siddy on this. Kindly note my few comments:

-iCLAN, good job I really like your contributions but I think the your approaches are more towards a high performance motor garge kinda connotations. I see "Castro" and Heavy Metal (Loud Fast.)
-Agree that #6/#7 is probably the closest. Thank you elements. As above, something is "missing", there is the "speed" which is fine as it is online motor insurance.
-Maybe just try to always work on the fact that it is a motor insurance company, a dash of cuteness, human factor etc. won't hurt. I guess it has to be "friendly"

Thanks a lot! look forward to seeing more fantastic work here

Thanks for the quick draft upload guys and thanks iCLAN for the effort of providing a good variety of logos. Unfortunately, none of them are hitting the spot yet. #6 is probably closest at this point in the sense that it is clean and sophisticated. Perhaps you could try something with green & black?

Also, i need the "BOI stands for Buy Online Insurance" to be completely idiot proof. The only one that does this so far is #5 where is seperates the text and makes the whole BOI thing really obvious. But unfortunately it is really small and will be completely lost on a small sized logo. So far none of these initial 7 drafts are going in the direction that i hoped. I believe alot can be done creatively (like one idea i had was to create a curve over the two O's in "motorboi" and make it look like a car). I'm looking for clever stuff like that. The consumers should look at it and think...."Hey that's cute!" and also get the message.

I've designed a rough version of the curve car concept that i'm talking about it and will upload it in the brief shortly. Don't restrict yourself to it, it's just an idea.

Also keep in mind that in the future when we want to create apps (eg iPhone app), we would have a very limited space to place our identity mark. Hence it would be good if we have a symbol that defines us as part of the logo that we can use.

Thanks for the effort thus far and i really look forward to seeing what you creative geniuses can do :)
