Note I have recently posted a brief similar to this for a logotype based on a musical lyre. Whilst I am happy with it, I would like to hold a separate brief to design something using the company initials JJM instead of the graphic.

Please use the winning logotype as the basis for the text - https://www.yousendit.com/download/MFo0a0ZRcG8rV3hFQlE9PQ

I'll need a new graphic to go where the 'lyre' is, based on the initials. Here are some references that I quite like - https://www.yousendit.com/download/MFo0a0ZZYXlnYU94dnc9PQ

Brief...

JODY JENKINS MUSIC

This brief is concerned with the design of a logotype for JODY JENKINS MUSIC. I am an composer of music for film, TV and commercials based in London. My clients are film companies, TV companies and other film music practitioners. I am looking for a logotype that can feature on my stationary and artwork for DVD/CD show-reels that are distributed throughout the industry. In time it will also perhaps dictate the design of my website. The tone needs to reflect the high-class productions with which I am involved, or at least aspire to be. Whilst the music I produce is not ‘classical’ per se, I want to avoid any suggestion of ‘bands’ and guitar/studio culture in general. I also want to avoid anything to ‘Hollywood’ or grandiose. The fact that I am an individual rather than a company also means it should be slightly understated and not suggest personal arrogance.

I am open-minded in terms of the type of design but I tend towards mono-chrome designs that feature an icon or graphic device [perhaps an outline/silouette]. I love this - http://blog.mollar.me/wp-content/imgdepot/indie-film-studio-logos/scott-free.jpg because you could really imagine the bird becoming something instantly identifiable, also the font sets just the right tone.

Some film companies employ logotypes that unusually are light colored, on a black background, this stems from their use as idents at the start of films. I would like the option of doing this so please consider if your design would work in negative as well ie white-ish logo/text on a black background.

I am not thinking of anything particularly colourful but I could be wrong.

Think on the following...
Classy
Creative
Small but successful
Quirky

  Music

  Symbolic
Initials

  Unique/Creative
Clean/Simple
Sophisticated
Serious
