This is for a trail race (running) of 112 miles on the Mogollon Rim in eastern Arizona. This is for a business logo to be used for the race itself in t-shirt designs, banners, headers, website and a variety of other uses as the main race logo. The "Mogollon Monster" is meant for the fact that the terrain of the race and the distance of running 112 miles is a "monster." It will be one of the toughest endurance races in the US when we have the inaugural race in October 2012. Along with that meaning it also is the name of a "Bigfoot" creature that has been spotted in that region for over a hundred years, named the "Mogollon Monster." www.mogollonmonster.com The race itself takes place on the Mogollon Rim which is a 2,000 ft escarpment that rises out of the earth in the desert to become a massive Ponderosa Pine forest, lush green springs, meadows and Colorado like environment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mogollon_Rim www.mogollonmonsterrun.weebly.com (still under construction but you'll get the idea) is the start of the race website which has a good deal of info on it. www.cascadecrest100.com is a race in Washington of a similar distance with a logo I think is great. Their logo really shows in one glance what the race is all about with the three giant Pines with the text below. I really like this logo as well, immediately shows in the logo itself what it really has and is looking to be. An endurance race from the Pine trees to the Palm trees. www.greatdivide.com is a link for a beer company...but they have a logo of a Yeti/Bigfoot/Mogollon Monster type creature that is close to what I think about in a logo for the Mogollon Monster. Ideally the logo would be something that would incorporate the text, the Mogollon Rim, Pine trees and a Bigfoot/Yeti creature. | I'm partial to brown/light tan combos, greens. I'd prefer to stay away from colors not found in the terrain of the race. It's very green, lots of trees, but the lower parts are red rock, high desert. Being that I'm not a designer I'm also open to other ideas as sometimes what I don't imagine in my head is sometimes a much better option. | ||

| Race Directing is not a profitable business so I apologize for the low bid on this logo. Often, directing a 100 mile race is a negative profit business and done simply to provide an environment for others to run. I'm such a case and wish I could bid more. I've tried the friend route in having someone design something for me but after several flakes over the last couple months I simply need to move forward and my friends referred me to you after she started her business with a logo from Mycroburst that she loves.
