We chose our name to represent the most important things about us. We want to work together to make known and worship our Redeemer who rescues sinners because of his great mercy and grace. We want to actively pursue our Community with the gospel. We are a local Church- the church of the living God, those called by God to serve, honor, love, worship, and obey him. That's our name- Redeemer Community Church. Of these aspects of our name, Redeemer is most essential. Jesus is our Redeemer. He redeemed us. He paid the ransom price for our sin. He set us free from sin. He saved us. The logo will hopefully express something of freedom from bondage, salvation, being set free. Secondarily, if the logo can tie in the concept of community, that would be great. Something about people helping people, serving each other, loving one another. Thirdly, the logo may or may not tie in the idea of a church. Our website (with a generic logo currently) is www.redeemercommunitychurch.org |
