Thank you designers. Please continue to submit designs. Each new one helps us better narrow what it is we are looking for exactly. So far, #50 is the closest. The character has been the biggest challenge because it's hard for us to articulate what we want ... edgy and appealing to inner-city youth, yet professional looking. THANKS!!
Here's a little more feedback for all designers: Swims is more important than the word Minneapolis. So, consider that in font size. Also, too often swim logos are of a swimmer in the water. We want to highlight the outdoor and the fun aspects of being able to swim. We want to portray the excitement and confidence to be able to jump into the water and enjoy all the water related sports and outdoor activities. Is it possible to give this a slight outdoors feel?
LotusDesigns: I like where you're going with #6. The blue and yellow work really well together. My only concern is the kids we are trying to help are mostly of various ethnicities, so the yellow person shouldn't be so Caucasian looking. Not sure how to do that without losing the cheerful yellow color. Love the whimsy in this design. Other designs should head in this direction. Many thanks! :)
Thank you designers! I really appreciate the first submissions. I am anxious to see more concepts. I'm not sure about the circular logo. Go more in the direction of kids, fun, inspiring, a little whimsy (but stay on the side of professional). This logo should capture the importance and fun of swimming. Looking forward to seeing more!
