Opinion, like older Crest #30 with clear dividers between images in crest:
    1) Runner from #32 replaces runner in #30 (left crest)
    2) Shorter thicker medical staff on top of #30 to balance the thicker lines in the crest. Could also consider just the snake head and top of the medical staff up there. http://gl.letrag.com/caracteres/2695.png
    3) Wreath and ribbon (black) to compliment medical staff on top and balance bottom of image. Keep initials in crest. Try different wreath ribbon combinations.

#32 is exactly as suggested but not better than #24. THe absence of black outlines of objects does not look as good as #24. The snake crowds the other images within the crest. Still would like the snake but over the top of the crest, with wreath on both sides of the snake, The wreath they say looks a little feminine, maybe another type of wreath to try only at the top or top and bottom. http://blog.mpl.org/nowatmpl/2010/03/_if_you_know_of.html

Thanks to all three designers. It appears wmakos designer has best overall and is still here revising with me and best incorporating my original needs (see notes: no police badge, no heart etc). So I will award to him/her. However I have asked all my staff for feedback because it is not quite where we want it yet:
    1) this is letterhead project need to consider reproduction of a small logo on white paper. Logos that work with black backgrounds wont work for us
1a). possibly removing black thin outline of #30 left human figure will enlarge it so it displays more bold . On #30 the left human figure looks smaller than the right because the black outline of the figure. Remove the outline and slightly stretch (widen horizontal) if it is vector art. This will better match the width of the arm and hammer and show up better in a small logo on letterhead
    2) Everyone wants staff of Asclepius incorporated in to center line of crest, preferably the length of the 4 boxes in the center not just as a small box. This would be a center piece and make the crest look more medical. This could be grey or white. Asclepius is the one snake medical staff, not the winged staff, not the two snake staff. I have it on my other logo http://www.foemc.com/ I think if we can get that in the logo attractively we will be done with concept revisions and just be on cleanup/finetuning
    3) the widening of the cross on #30 is probably good, either #24 or #30 cross will do.
    4) no yellow/gold colors (#30 right)
    5) horizontal stripes are liked by all rather than oblique. We have not seen vertical yet if that would look any better, can we experiment with thickness in final logo
    6) Top of PMG on left crest #30 has no space between initials and top of outline. Right sided crest has some space.
    7) One person suggested some wreath around the base of the shield as you see with family crests or school crests. I am not sure if this can be done well but if you have a leaf or two that would display good in black or red, maybe.

Okay thats funky #27 thanks for :) I think the human figure elements that match are runner #16, #27 stretcher (nice), #24 arm and hammer. The stylized men are slick but look out of place when combined with arm and hammer. The runners in #24 will not reproduce well in small logo. The outline shape and coloration of #24 is the most attractive (black crisp outline with bottom point highlighted subtley by inner thin white outline). The "police badge" effect of #25 was my mistake, I wrote concave out, I meant concave in, convex out. #24 has best crest shape still overall. The iron cross, is not exactly what I was trying to draw, I like the shape of it but..I will see if it reminds to many people of the German war symbol. The biggest problem is tying the elements, finding a place for them, and not making it look clipart piecework with different styles of art, font. The cross at top is a interesting idea. so far #24 still looks best for this project purposes (letterhead, not web logo).

Thank you to the two graphic designers. I sketched some ideas, see link below. Nursing staff enjoyed #24 coming to life and that is the crest shield outline we all like, possibly adding a concave out pointed top (not concave in that would look like a police badge). THe logo will be small in print(like #24 small) on letterhead and envelopes so the smaller lines will need to be eliminated and smaller details (skiny legs and arms will not reproduce well. It would be nice to see different concepts in layout, possibly adding a stretching figure or michalengelo man symbolizing rehab exercise, a different cross like the knights templar style, experimenting with location of the components, orientation of the stripes, contrast and negative images (we like the simple colors in #24)

Here is an idea from staff. A crest shield, similar in shape to the school links. Divided in to 4 quadrants, one with an arm and hammer (symbolizing worker), one with jogger (symbolizing exercise), one with swiss cross (similar to hsph.harvard.edu), one with 3 stripes (3 specialties sports, rehab, worker), topped with PMG initials in boxes. colors as previous crimson gray black other.

Project goals: Elegant logo, crest similar to a school crest, some flourishments. Avoid helping hands, hearts, simple red crosses, emergency symbols. No drop shadows It is a office practice, sports medicine, worker medicine. Think in terms of physical therapy for any symbols, not emergency medicine. Could for instance use a worker in one corner of the crest, a runner in another, a cross in another. For samples of school crests google. Another school crest http://www.hsph.harvard.edu//
