maybe the font would look better if it appeared to be burnt in into the steel with a torch. Just a suggestion...it would then need to be black. #29 the wording is not the void area the steel behind it is.
#19 the area where is says "working together to weld..." should be a pass thru where there is only air no steel, please increase the font size for the Company name and give the wording some 3D type of effect like in the original so it appears to be protruding from the steel
The project has been extended for 3 days you have given us the basics as we have asked of you. Given the time remaining find a way with the current color scheme to add your own style to the design without loosing the original concept. This is the element we here at Maui Industrial Metal Fabricators feel is missing. Lets give the Boss a reason to say yes to something a little different. A new sharp strong professional looking logo.
#9 is looking good I think the font needs to be taller. #4 has the font taller and raised to give it some pop and 3D effect. I like it very much and I wish the project had not been veiled. I have submitted a request but I have not heard back. We need to try enlarging and raising the fonts on #9. Thank you
#5 and #6 are my favorites. The font on #6 is the right coloring. Both #5 and #6 are close on the color of steel. #6 steel looks like aluminum and needs to be darker but not as dark as #5. Just wondering if there is anything more, any tricks in your bag to give it the stregnth I spoke of? Thank you for responding to my requests.
I did not intend for this to be a veiled project, not sure how that happened my apologies.
Mosby, the Owner asks if you can have your light coming from one direction for all the shading, the box tubing on the bottom should appear square and hollow so the shading can get darker when you darken the steel.
Mosby you are almost there! The area behind the words "working together to weld the future of our islands" would be white with your current color scheme because it is a "pass through" with no metal.
Also can you go darker on the blue as your background darker blue is close to the actual blue of our original logo and business cards etc. Its looking good, excited to see the revisions, thank you for your submittals thus far.
Ok I found it! Great start! Its starting to look like metal.I'd like to elaborate on the design...The portion at the top is a wide flange beam shaped like an H laying on its side. These beams can weight up to and exceed 60lbs (kilos?) a linear foot (180lbs a meter. To appear 3D it should have thicker edges. The portion below it with the "Working together...." wording should be without steel so with your color scheme it would be black. The H beam will then appear to be supported by everything below it. The rectangle at the very bottom is actually a square tubing. In real life it would be 4 or 6 inches square, and hollow with 1/4" thick edges. I hope that helps and thank you for your first draft I look forward to your revisions.
