We are a photo booth company, renting our portable photobooths to weddings, anniversaries, birthday parties, non-profit events, you name it! We are located in the Rocky Mountain West and have established ourselves as the leader in high quality, interactive, and professional photo booth services. We focus on that old-school, vintage photostrip and experience with a true sit-down booth, and photostrips that print in black and white or color, with extremely high quality photostrips. Meanwhile, we are also looking to the future, and realizing that the customer wants social media incorporation, and high tech photobooths that can go beyond the retro booth. The logo should convey both the digital modern age that we live in yet also the vintage flavor of old school photobooths. Vintage feel and texture is the most important. We have been highly energized and motivated by the designs of a local designer named Lacey, but she moved away and is not doing design anymore. Her inspiration for our project was the chalk drawings by Tanamachi. Visit tanamachi at tanamachistudio.com. We would like our final logo clean up to somehow incorporate this vintage, chalk-like feel to the typography. The logo should convey fun, as we bring props and costumes to all of our events, however the logo should not be cartoonish, cheesy or childish. The must contain many of the elements we already use in our logo that is identified with our company such as colors and some of the fonts. The choices below made me select only one option for colors. Currently our logo contains three colors - we have our black and blue version for white media, and our white and blue version for presentation on black media. . We would like the designer to help us select the best "vintage" blue....search Google Images for "vintage blue" as a starting point as one idea....

A "vintage" blue, with black and/or white depending on the media displayed on. Or, the designers may suggest something else. The logo should be simple, contain our name Big Sky Photo Booth, and contain the attached hand-lettered font for the words Photo Booth. The logo should not deviate from the current design hardly at all but to add an element (a symbol, an abstraction, a "mark", a "bug") that can be used as the favicon, and that individuals can associate with the logo. We have always wanted a moustache and one other prop, like a hat, in the branding. We want to be able to keep the "stacked" look of our current logo. We have always thought that the line could become a moustache on a stick. We have been told that having a hat hang off one of the letters would be good, but none of the local designers have done a good job with this.

Do not deviate much from the current logo as we have been in business for 3 years and people are really starting to identify with our logo. The logo needs to be cleaned up. It needs to have that designers tough. It needs to have the hand-made font from the file I have already mentioned above (and that which is uploaded; I have the file as a .ai but cannot upload to logo guru as too big of file. We can transmit via yousenti.com or a document share program). The logo is missing a "mark" or some element that can make it more playful and for that we can use for people to identify with our booth. See suggestions above. I will be attaching many files to guide you. This project has been going on for far too long, with not the right results. We have finally decided to open it up to as many designers as possible to get as many ideas as possible. Please see the local designers file mentioned above and uploaded here as a starting point. One strategy is to combine the elements there, with some hand-made font (vintage feel) for Big Sky with the current logos! Start there! Thank you for your help!

lacey_files_for_logo_guru_TIFF_33564.tiff This is the designs from a local designer that we love, but we are too afraid to change our logo this much.....our clients and the public are identifying with our current logo that is the stacked logo with line in between. We do, however, want to incorporate this hand-lettered version of the font for Photo Booth into the final logo. Please note that we love these designs but we do not want to select them because they are too different from our current branding and we realized that it would be confusing to our clients. We would love to incorporate the moustache and/or bowler hat, and the curved architectural lines. The logo revision MUST INCLUDE the hand-written font of the words Photo Booth. We have the .ai files but they are too large to upload here. Would have to use dropbox. |

bug_2_33569.jpg We love the idea of having a bug or mark that identifies with our brand. We love the idea of having BSPB identified with our brand as well. The next few designs are just playing around with things that I did about a year ago. |

tara_new_blue_II_33596.jpg Attached here is just an old mock up of a business card using the blue, white, black theme with a version similar to our current logo. Here is a bit more info: There is no particular font that is decided for the words Big Sky. Our main goals are to have a vintage feeling but also be able to transcend this into all future modern booth concepts, to possibly incorporate a mark if it doesn't look too childish, cartoonish or too playful (must still be classy and professional), have awesome font for Big Sky that is hand-lettered preferably, keep the logo mostly the same (stacked) and possibly incorporate BSPB acronym somewhere. Please visit our website and FB page if you would like to see our "flavor" and how the logo currently looks in different media. Please contact us for any questions or help along the way!!!! insta_booth___like_the__com_and_the_incorporation_of_the_props_without_looking_silly_33595.tiff We have always envisioned a moustache in our mark, but don't know if it will stand the test of time or not or look too cheesy or childish. I recently found a competitor (different market) who uses it like I had originally imagined. The file is attached here. |

theory_hair_salon_bug_33573.jpg The attachment way above of a FB screenshot showing Kat's Cakes.....reason I love this logo is the clever use of a mark/abstraction between the two words. I would like our two sets of words to be cleverly separated for ease in reading a stacked logo. Attached to this message is an example of a favorite logo from a hair salon. They cleverly use a mark with an acronym of their name, but it is simple....one of our most important elements. LESS IS MORE! OFTEN, JUST COMPANY NAME IS BEST!! |

big_sky_logo_current_5_14_12_33597.png In our current logo, you see that we use Champagne and Limosines font for Big Sky and Fashion Victim font for Photo Booth. Again, we want the Photo Booth font to be that of the hand-lettered font of the next file called simply "hand-lettered". For the font for Big Sky, we would like to see something hand-lettered. Something vintage and worn feeling, or just a font that works well with the hand-lettered font. We like the champagne and limosines, just don't know if there is something better, or a way to make this look better. We also don't know if there is a way to make the line represent something.... |

hand_lettered_33598.tiff Hand-lettered font for Photo Booth. Remember, we have this file in Illustrator, vectored format, just cannot send through logo guru (too big). Let me know if you need it submitted through yousendit.com or through a document share program. |

lacey_files_for_logo_guru_TIFF_33599.tiff Remember, the elements of this file that we love are the curved architectural lines, the bowler hat, the hand-lettered font and moustache. Of course, it is hard to incorporate all of this while also trying to maintain the elements of our current stacked logo with line between (REMEMBER THIS IS ONLY A LOGO REVISION PROJECT, NOT A COMPLETELY NEW LOGO!!!). Just trying to help you see the things we have loved in the past.... |

chalk_type_drawing_33625.tiff Do you see the vintage flavor of this file? The chalk-like drawing? I love the font of this piece. I love the hand-made nature of this. This type of work, including the work of tanamachistudio.com was the inspiration for the Lacey files. Think chalk-drawn letters, think vintage, hand-made look. This is what we want. |

BSBP_Logos_v4_5_33626.png Please use this file as guidance too. This was a design from the same local designer Lacey who developed hand-made font for the words Big Sky, too. The font looks a bit cartoonish, but we LOVE how the entire logo is hand-made. If you would like to focus on the hand-made font, we would be very interested in this. Please do not simply copy this. I do not respect just recycling someone else's work. |
