Draft 8 & 9 are really on the right track. I think the logo would look better with a more retro feel (cahnging the font). A retro gas station logo feel is really the direction I think you can go. can you do a draft removing the glass and placing "2GD" in the center.

Draft #4-I think it's a bit feminine. I am not looking for cute. Try a deeper color purple. Someone thought it was pink.
Draft #5, #6-Can you try a different font
All-Try a circular logo
It ok to use black.
This logo will go on the side of a building near a highway, so I need it to be easy to read.
