Draft similar to or derivative from http://www.mycroburst.com/contests/logo-independent-investment-and-financial-planning-firm/users/davegk (flipped E and W) have been taken down.
>>> Thanks again for putting alot of thought into this project- especially given I didn't have more direction initially. I will be reviewing all logos that come in over the next 2 days and will post comments privately for those that show promise. I will only be rating the 4 and 5 star options on the main project page moving forward.
Thanks for all the ideas so far. I think I am close on a couple designs. I extended the project for 3 days and increased the project $$. I have been swamped with my business change but will much more time over the next 3 days to give input and direction. I appreciate all the ideas thus far that has helped me move closer to figure out what I want.
Thanks again!! I will post some comments tomorrow,
one logo I would be interested in replicating the color and texture and look of is at www.ironfinancial.com I would potentially be interested in this look with a compass on the left. I envison some kind of compass with the same weathered texture and color with simliar color and texture or possibly the letters EW. I am still open to any other ideas as well. Thanks!!
I will look around for other ideas to hone in on a direction.
hey felex withdraw your draft #189,and its other color variations #305,#306,and #307 because its comes straight from my artwork i had submitted this design earlier in other logo design contest on mycroburst.com have look link:-"http://www.mycroburst.com/drafts/display/contest/24704/draft/210758"withdraw your drafts if you don't that i will make sure you will pay for this..
Thanks for the work everyone. A couple things I think I am also leaning toward:
1. capitalize the first letter .. as noted below:
Eastside Wealth Group
2. Also - I tend to like some spacing in the letters (similar to #57)
3. Having Eastside Wealth or Eastside Wealth Group all on one line. . . rather than Eastside on top and wealth group below. I am not 100% opposed to it ( Irealize some designs may be better suited to stacking the words.) - I just seem to like that look better on average.
4. For the text - I like the clean crisp look.
5. For any logos that attempt to use the initials EWG or EW - I don't want large over bearing initials - subtle or maybe cursive.
6. I do want to consider more colors or possible multicolors that still look professional.
7. I plan to give some examples of logos I have seen that I like soon and more direction shortly. I didn't want to give too much of what I wanted early on to stop any creative direction I might miss out on.
The 2 possible directions - I think I am looking for:
1. is either a logo that has good artistic design / subtle symbolic meaning – No restriction on colors.
2. Or more subtle / primarily text based logo that is clean.
One other thing is that I don't want to emphasize the word eastside too much. I am open to all caps or just the first letter of each word (possibly all written out on the same line. I also tend to visually like some space between letters in the logo name.
Some ideas for things that reflect the area I live in are - evergreen trees, streams and rivers, I work near a city skyline, mountains, Other possible ideas for symbolism - compass, journey, map, family, or something that reflects the letters EWG or EW in a subtle way. I definitely am open to any creative ideas that I am not putting down here.
The most important places this logo will need to look professional is on a glass door leading to my office as well as my website (yet to be designed). Ideally it would look good on a light or dark background and glass.
>> I would like to consider a tagline if it worked ( as noted below) If the tagline doesn’t work in to the design I choose that would be ok as well.
1. Independent - Objective - Personal - Investment & Retirement Planning “this would be writtend with some dash or perpendicular line between each word.
Thanks for working on my project. I really appreciate your creative interpretation of my business identity. I will also have other design needs if the logo project goes well.
One other thing... Since this is a new company with a new image - I am actually open on the color schemes as long as it has the presence I am after. Also, I am open to various symbolism ideas. Thanks much!
