I just uploaded #43 to give you an idea of where this logo may be used / placed (within the red boxed areas)

The top left is the most significant, so hopefully you can appreciate the height restrictions.

Designs such as #39 are fine, since they offer a little flexibilty, allowing me to move the folder next to the text when required.

Thanks again for all your efforts.

    @Cruser,

I really like what you have done with #32
Can I see it on a dark background please.

Also, can you try the folder on either the left or right, see what it looks like.. thanks

    @lakshmiks

Could you re-shape the W in design #23 so the last letter S is no stretched out of proportion.

Can you also upload a draft where only one of the letter 's' has a spanner. Perhaps a draft with it on the left and one on with it on the right.

    thanks.

    Vyasa,

Can you do a version of #24 without the tools and with a few more teeth in the cog perhaps.
Also, the W in SWS seems a lot thinner than the other letters.

I would be interested to see if you can come up with a subtle way to introduce some red in to the logo, but not inside of the cog, it would look like a sunrise :-)

    Thanks for the additional drafts.

heropoppy : #4 is so far your best draft, could you clean up the SWS font and remove the tagline, or perhaps come up with a creative idea to include this without causing it to become unbalanced.

    -----

BubbleGum #15 is so far your best design, I like the tagline going under the logo on the left and also the font / colour used, but am unsure about the font's used / sizing for the SWS Solutions, perhaps a few variations on this. The spanner in #18 was a good idea, but im not sure it works, Im also not 100% on the cog's. Im trying to give the impression that we provide software for the automotive industry.

    -----

tolkee #12 this does not really fit with what we are looking for, feel free to submit further drafts.

    -----

vyasa : I like the choice of font for solutions, but unfortunately, SWS doesnt work, the W seems wrong, but the S is perfect. #21 looks the best out of the three so far, however the logo is too tall, I would prefer it to be a wider design instead.

    -----

    BDesign : Draft #22
I like the way the logo is rectangular, without actual borders. The fonts could also do with making clearer, it looks very grainy / unclear.
Perhaps you could use my comments below to re-design the contents of the red box.

To ALL : To give inspiration for tools, here is a link to an image : http://www.planetools.com/Images/TK09_KLEIN_201-PC_AP_TOOL_KIT.jpg

Also, a toolbox design could work, I would love to see some creative ideas to represent something like the top right toolbox from the above image, of course Im not looking to use actual photo's, it must be unique.

I look forward to seeing some fresh concepts based on these comments... Thanks to all who have submitted drafts so far...

Just thought I would give you all a little more of a direction to head in based of the existing 12 drafts.

Drafts #7 and #11 are heading in the right direction, out of all of the above, these are more like what I am looking for.
Although the use of a spanner / screwdriver would suite our image more than the globe. We specialise in automotive repair software, hence the cars / tools / computers idea I put in a comment.

I would like to keep the height down, so #6 #10 and #9 don't quite fit. #4 could work without the tagline and perhaps with some form of logo to the left ??? Im not sure about some of the cut-outs in the font though. (I know our existing one has this)

The logo will mainly be featured on a dark (almost black) background, so probably best to bear this in mind too.

Keep up the great work, ill keep the feedback coming, if you are unsure about anything.. feel free to ask.

For those interested in submitting drafts, We are looking for a design which includes a small design to compliment the text, i.e

    http://www.mycroburst.com/drafts/display/contest/29171/draft/239209

    http://www.mycroburst.com/drafts/display/contest/843/draft/49282

We would also like to stay away from designs such as the following (where a car outline is used over the wording) due to competition.
    http://www.mycroburst.com/drafts/display/contest/20962/draft/191334

For inspiration think cars, tools (spanners), computers :-)

Sorry, answer to the tag line question should have been yes where possible. Text to include as tag line should be

    'Software with simplicity'
