Many facets: CP is a business created to teach what schools don't (The Missing Link)- from study skills, tutoring, destination field trips, alternative education. Here are some blurbs from our web site: Compass Points Summer program: Our summer smart skills course is for any student, not just students who are struggling. This course is designed to teach lifelong skills such as setting goals and time management as well as specific study skills for students in grades 5-8. The skills learned will help them transition from elementary to middle school, but will provide the necessary knowledge to handle college-level work and job skills. Compass points covers how to research, how to take tests, how to take notes, time management, the importance of setting goals and more. Compass Points Summer Program addresses specific skills to help your child be successful through college and beyond. Destination Points: Take the classroom to a new level by participating in one of our destination field trips. Point-to-Point: Point to Point is a one-on-one tutoring program designed to help your intermediate to middle school age child succeed. Whether your child needs re-teaching and reinforcement in specific content areas, practicing skills taught in school, or merely needs help completing assignments and staying on task, Point to Point is for you. Additionally, students will learn specific strategies to help them stay on top of their homework. |

Not sure. Have been using bold colors like purple and orange (kids like them), but I can't decide if I want a more bold, contemporary kid-friendly logo or something more professional looking. Compass Points Solutions is a parent company for several services, so I'm wondering if I should go more polished and professional-looking for the first logo, then as I can afford it, get separate logos for each branch. If I go more polished, I think neutrals like brown and green would be best, but you decide. | ||

The name of this company was chosen because it represents helping students find direction. I originally wanted the Tag Line to be "The Missing Link: Teaching what Schools Dont'," but that really only applies to the Study Skills branch of the company. Eventually, I'd like to see this company helping students who don't thrive in traditional schools. I want to take students on trips, I want to tutor students, I want to provide resources for students who are twice-exceptional (these are students that are gifted in one area, but learning disabled in another so they often go undiagnosed and drop out of school. Some words that I associated with it were directing, aligning, guiding, navigating, destinations, new horizons, being the captain of your own success.
