#27, I like this approach, but the colors seem too "dark". Also, I like what appears to be a goddess figure wrapped into a caduceus symbol. Is there anyway you can make this figure more lifelike and welcoming, while still retaining the abstract nature of the symbol?
if anyone is having problems doing a goddess (I'd still like to see a really good one) you could try using a caduceus symbol. It carries similiar significance. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caduceus
Would still like to see someone improve upon the goddess concept. She provides some kind of supernatural power of protection that speaks to a large group of my potential clients.
I'm liking #6 the most right now, but the use of the sword and shield seems a bit overdone in the area of computer protection.
I'd really like to see more fleshing out of the goddess protector iconic image by someone. I think it speaks to the female audience that I anticipate will be a large part of my clientele.
Draft #1. I'm not sure what I'm looking at. I see a goddess type protector figure, which is ok, but what is she protecting? It looks like she has a lamb in her arms. Where is the computer that is being protected? I hope I didn't imply the actual user would be the one being protected. The mother's arms metaphor was simply that, a metaphor. All the blue makes it difficult to figure out what is going on. Do I see a shield and sword? It is very hard to tell. Not sure she needs both. The goddess appears a bit devilish with spikey horns. I don't like that. She should be strong but not a fantasy game heroine. More lovable or angelic please.
The mass amount of blue doesn't seem to blend with the text colors. Also, it is hard to take in the STAYSAFEPC.COM text in one glance. I think it would be better with some smaller text similar to StaySafePC.com, so the individual words stood out more, but maybe small caps and not actual lower case. Also, not really excited with the font. Too sharp and jarring. Shouldn’t the tagline at the bottom be a different font from the main font to make it more flowing and obvious?
For the first submission, I am glad to see the creativity at work here! You obviously read my submission (thank you!), but maybe too literally.
However, it really needs more tuning please. It definitely needs to be softer, more readable, more definitive, and show an actual PC or laptop computer being protected. There should be synergy between the graphic and the text. Is there some way the text can appear to have a surrounding type effect too, so that everything appears to be a protective whole?
