    Hell CH,

    We appreciate that!
    Please eliminate my drafts if they resemble the original concepts.

    Thank you for extending the contest..

    Hi, everyone;

    Thank you all for your new submissions. However, I have reason to believe that the project may have become temporarily 'unveiled' when it closed out on Saturday, as I have seen a significant number of new submissions that very closely resemble those of our finalists. Though some of these were very good, in fairness, they cannot be considered, as they were not original ideas. Therefore, those deemed too similar were eliminated without comment.
    Others that were eliminated were those of 1 or 2 stars, and those which had several versions of the same design, by the same designer, where we kept only one example.
    If you have a design still active, then it is still in consideration, and we may have contacted you directly for some adjustments.
    If any designers would still like to have a design considered, that isn't a copy of another's design, then please submit it before the project's close and we will give it further consideration.

    Thanks again,
    JMU

    Hello, everyone;

    While we were happy with the finalists' submissions, we felt a few would benefit from a little more development before we made our final selection, and therefore have extended the contest. Any other designers are free to submit new designs as well.

    Please message me if you have any questions. I will be contacting the finalists directly.

    Thank you everyone for the great work. We've narrowed it to a few finalists and are asking for a few renditions from those designers before making our decision.

    #94: thanks for your submissions. However, we haven't seen anything quite yet that is unique enough to be among the top 5. Take a look back through the brief and my previous comments, and try a different approach. Thanks again!

    #69: This is a much better rendition of your earlier concept, and holds promise. I don't have any specific changes to recommend on this one, so if you have any other ideas, bring them out. Thanks!

    #76: Nice concept. Our concern with the stylized 'twisted' is that it is a bit too stylized, and thus difficult for someone not familiar with what it's supposed to read, to understand it. If it's possible, clean it up a little, or try a different approach so that the word is more readable. Thanks!

    We're beginning to see a handful of designs which properly exhibit the characteristics outlined in our brief, and which rise above the others in design. I've personally contacted a few of you for more specific revisions, and we like what we see. At this moment, there are three which are equally appealing to us, so it will come down to nuances, and how they compliment our overal design aesthetic. With three days to go, however, we're sure other designs will emerge. To those designers, I'd recommend closely reading our brief, along with comments we've made, and giving it another shot. So far, stylized versons of the "twisted Pasty" name, without any clipart or other unrelated art, have been well received.

    I've also began eliminating designs that just simply are too far off the course we set, either in concept or execution, or clearly use common clipart, standard fonts, or other elements we could just as easily do ourselves. The remainder are good designs, or have several elements we like and will still consider. However, Please feel free to re-submit a design you've refined, or any new designs you feel meet our guidelines. We're still very open to ideas.

    Thanks again, everyone!

    Again, thanks everyone for the great work. The last round of submissions had several very promising designs.

    Generally, all designers should remember that we are looking for 'funky, trendy, unique, modern or sophisticated' takes (graphic or not) on the words "Twisted Pasty." Use of clip art just won't cut it here; we're interested in custom graphics and/or unique use of fonts, and set our award to reflect this. Several submissions have achieved this benchmark, and we're looking forward to viewing others!

    #23: we'd still like to see it with the same font and the single 'S' as seen in #33.
    #33: we'd like to see "restaurant" changed to "food&drink".
    #38: Great first effort, and thanks for attempting to integrate our product. To us, it seems too forced, maybe a little awkward, and so if you'd like to re-submit with a different use of the product, or without it entirely, we still think the basic idea has merit.
    #44: Thanks for the revision, but what we were hoping for was for "food&drink" to be integrated into the lower portion of the graphic, not below it. You may have to re-draw that lower portion to allow room for it, but give it your best shot. We still like the concept.
    #52: Thanks for joining the project, we very much like your range of ideas, particularly this one. We think it may be best to leave it as-is, but just to be sure, can you please submit a revision with the tag: "food&drink" or "Food and Drink" somehow worked into the graphic? Perhaps appended to the bottom, in negative. Also, #58 holds promise, and if you have any further ideas, we're open to them.

    #49, #50, #54: your logo is very nice, and would be quite appropriate for a different type of restaurant, like a bakery or cafe. Thanks, but just not inline with our concept.
    #36, #47, thanks for the efforts, but we'd like to stay away from using the initials TP in our logo.

    Thanks again!

    Hello, everyone, and thanks for your great work so far...there have been several very good, unique, designs which hold great promise. As we would like to see some tweaking on several designs rated 3* or better, I'll comment individually on those submission numbers:

    #18: Great job; simple, yet visually descriptive and an unexpected use of the product. Could you re-submit with these changes: Try a modern serif or a sans-serif font more inline with our aesthetic, re-color in a darker copper (also perhaps use a second color for the type, if you think that could work) and try to work the tagline "food & Drink" into the lower swoosh if possible.

    #22/#23/#25: Thanks for these revisions. We actually very much liked the original font with the single 'S' intertwined with the 'a' and would like to see these two revised with that font, as in #4.

    #30: We very much liked your submission, particularly the colorization and font. Then I realized it was identical to a major restaurant chain's. Perhaps a slightly different font, no bolding, and changing the red to copper would provide enough differentiation to keep us happy, and out of the courtroom.

    The remainder of the submissions has some good elements, but generally fell short of the 'relaxed, modern, sophisticated' aesthetic we're looking for. #6/#7 for instance, were good efforts, but reminded us more of a small grocery store than a trendy restaurant. #9/#10 we liked, but are very similar to another 'twisted' logo around. #19/#20/#21 is appropriate for small bakery, but again, not our aesthetic. If you any of you are looking for an idea of what our place will look like: http://theparlor.us/camera.htm

    Again, great job so far. Feel free to message me directly if you have specific questions!

    Miamiman53, after further discussion, we'd like to see #4 further revised to a solid-color, round or oval background, as well as without a background entirely, as it might appear to traditional-European (given the fleur-de-lis and serif font... other ideas to modernize it are welcome...thanks again for your submission!

    Miamiman53, we're liking the direction of your submissions, could you please create two versions of #4, one without the shading, and the other with a solid background? Thanks!

    Hello, JuloMN, and thanks for your submissions. We think #2 is a good start, particularly the font. Could you please submit a version with your graphics rotated 90-degrees to be on both sides, in-line with the text? Thanks, again!
