Psychiatrists Without Borders (PWB) is a nonprofit medical group comprised of mental health and other healthcare consultants who aim to decrease illness, stigma, and abuse through increasing access to mental health care and education. PWB offers expert mental health advice and training to health organizations and primary care clinicians who work in settings where mental health resources are limited or non-existent. Our focus is on: 1) Communities that have had little or no access to mental health services due to poverty and limited economic resources; and 2) Communities that have had resources but services have been lost or severely disabled due to severe public emergencies such as catastrophic natural disasters and war. |
