It was a really great experience, and I wanted to take the time to sincerely thank everyone who took their time and talents to participate. We're super excited by what we've got, and in a way you all have made our job of picking one winner very hard.
We had hoped to be able to make this decision quickly, like before the weekend started, but we're going to have a couple of meetings and make sure that we're going with the design that will best convey the direction our company would like to head in.
Hopefully we'll have an answer sooner than later, there are some favorites. But with so many great entries and concepts to choose from, I hope we can be forgive for taking a moment to evaluate what we have here.
Good Afternoon Everyone (or whatever time of day greeting is appropriate where you are),
We're coming into the last day of the contest and we really couldn't be more excited about the designs that have come in so far.
So, first we would like to thank everyone who has devoted their time and talents to designing such thoughtful and amazing looking logos. This is a project that we really are excited about and seeing it come to life in the form of the designs everyone has submitted is truly inspiring.
Second, we just wanted to encourage everyone to feel free to ask any specific questions about how we are feeling in general as it relates to the design you've submitted. We'll try to be as responsive as possible over the next day in order to facilitate everyone who is entering being able to make sure they are making the best use of their time.
To that end, we wanted to give some very general guidance about what we've seen emerge as a trend in the logos that have caught our eye:
1. We generally feel that designs that lean traditional without looking boring have presented the best. Designs that pushed the traditional just enough to not look stodgy have stood out so far. I know that sounds very vague, and it is, if you have more specific questions about how that relates to what you have submitted, please feel free to send us a message.
2. What also seems to be emerging as a theme as we try to get to consensus on picking a winning logo, is that we like the presentation of a Logo on top and Text underneath. I'm not sure what to call that, but it does seem to be in the majority when you look at which designs have been favored by my partners.
3. While we have seen a lot of great designs in Blue and Gold. One of our favorites happens to have Orange as one of its primary elements. I'd encourage designers that haven't done so, to feel free to submit a take on their concept that utilizes Orange somehow. Or even (crazy, I know) some other color-scheme that we haven't requested but that you think would simply look really good.
Thank you again to everyone who has poured their talents into this, we are truly grateful and understand the value a good logo has to a start-up. We can't wait to see what comes in over the next day, wish everyone the best!
MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files.
