I partner with organizations innovate. I do this by engaging their team members in defining the problem as it is today, using empathy to learn about customer needs and pain points, ideate to explore different solution or experiences, prototype and test ideas to see which ones gain traction in the market. When I engage with clients, people are actively DOING things (hands-on) rather than just talking. For this reason, I'd like to avoid the use of speech bubbles as part of the logo design. I also fear people may think it's a social media company. The logo should be an easy-to-read wordmark. It should be playful/quirky yet businesslike, and convey solidity. One way I think about solidity is by use of a substantial font (no featherweights) and solid edges so the logo can work on a variety of background colors. E.g., if logo is predominantly black, have an inverse/white one that would work on a black background). The text can be all on one line or wrapped to two. I want to keep the colors simple (1 or 2) to keep printing costs down. I'm re-doing my website (innovationissocial.com) and plan to use this theme template: (http://goo.gl/8Ot9r), so I'm open as far as color palette is concerned. I've included a PDF file of wordmarks for inspiration. I appreciate the use of characters as forms, negative space, etc. to draw the viewer in, and have them feel like working with me on their project is a social (fun!) process. Looking forward to seeing how you interpret this challenge! Cheers, Erin |
