We're a web-only company that sells microcontroller-based boards for hobby and educational purposes, which people assemble into all sorts of small electronic gadgets that interact with the real world. "Physical computing" is often used to describe this. The standard board is an Arduino, although we'll also sell others. We will also sell many "shields", which are plug-on boards to interface to sensors, motors, LEDs, wifi connections, etc, together with the sensors and bits and bobs. The company name comes from the "breadboards" on which many of these projects are built. | ||

Check out www.arduino.cc for views of the boards. See http://www.maplin.co.uk/ad-100-breadboard-5195 for a nice pic of a breadboard itself. One thought was to use the "board" element of the name to bring in hints of surfboarding or snowboarding - we tried a picture of a breadboard with a tribal tatto-style swirl on it, but I'm no designer and couldn't get it to work - you will have more skill, and it may work for you! |
