Heartfelt thanks to the other designers for making this a varied and fun competition. The calibre of designs were truly amazing and special mentions to Chemji and Bonita for your amazing designs - we have honestly had our work cut out making the final decision.

Good luck to you all in your future efforts.

mip1980 #30 - shield shape is much better thank you - now just not sure the wsb works - can we try it with just a W - more like the superman S logo? thank you so much again for making these changes!!

Once again, thank you so much so far to all that have submitted designs so far. I never thought I would get such amazing concepts! I also appreciate how much you have taken onboard my comments and how swiftly you are able to get redrafts back to me.

    Thank you

Chemji - wow, you have been busy! Thank you for your recent submissions. I have eliminated a couple purely for colour reasons but I really like #26 - the bear is amazing and I like how it all fits within the circle. I think colour wise, there's a lot going on so perhaps we could try it with a plain white background in the inner circle? Also perhaps going for 2 shades of brown for the bear and detailing rather than the 3? Lastly, the emblem shaped badges - I think I actually prefer them without the S badge - the best thing about #8 is it's simplicity but thank you, it was good to see a different variation.

Mip1980 #25 - this looks amazing, from a distance the text is so much sharper now so thank you!

This is my last comment, I promise!! Is it possible to widen the bottom of the shield on the bears chest under the 'b' - think it looks a little bit coffin shaped at the moment and it might balance it out a bit if it was the same width as the top. Sorry, really picky I know, sorry!! Thank you

Thank you also for your other design, it probably wouldn't work so well with the amount of block colour used and whilst I like the bear, I do love the other bear you have done!!

Bonita - thank you for your recent submissions. I am going to eliminate #14 and #15 purely because you must have read my mind with #20! Thank you for incorporating the beach and embroidery aspect of my brief, I really like the text you have used with the needle, very clever! From an embroidery point of view, it is still quite 'fussy' (in the nicest possible way!) - so would it be possible to try and lose the sun and sky detailing. I would also like to lose the greater expanse of 'sea' and just leave the sand mound and bit of sea that the bear is stood on. With regards to the spade and star fish - can we try it in a solid colour - I like the highlighting butit's another colour to add on - same with the bear, sand, sea - can we try block colours for these without highlighting or shading?

I really like the stitched outline so that would be fine to leave.

Many thanks for taking the time to submit your design and I look forward to seeing what you may be able to come up with.

    Thank you

#16 Chemji - thank you for trying my new colour suggestions. I think it does actually work better in the colour scheme you submitted earlier but thank you for considering my requests.

#19 Mip1980 - thank you for your submissions incorporating my suggestions. I don't think #18 worked to well as it has made it all larger but thank you for trying to arc the text.

Really, really like #19. I think the shield with WSB on it works really well as done the colour scheme. I have a few minor adjustments that I was wondering if we could try and I think we are almost there. Can we try the tagline in black and stretch it so it starts under the 'S' of weston-super-bear and ends in the same place it is now under the 'E' so that it is even.

Lastly, is it possible to outline the blocks in black as well as the letters within the blocks. I think this will just make them stand out a little more and tie in more with the outline of the bear?

I think the bear is awesome and I have had so much positive feedback so thank you!

Mip1980 #13 - excellent!! Love the use of the blocks - it looks babyish but still modern and funky. Only thing I was wondering if we could improve is the layout - if possible could you try all of the text on one line - alternatively could it be placed in an arc above the bear with the tagline sat underneath the bear. Lastly with regards to the blocks - really like the use of colour here - nice and bright but perhaps we could slim the number of colours used down abit? Maybe stick to the Superman colour theme?

Really, really love the bear - cheeky and fun, alot like the designs I will be embroidering. Just wondering if the shield on his tummy could have WSB on it instead of just the s but in the same style?

Thank you, really excited to see what you may be able to do!!

I might be pushing it a bit here, but just a thought. Has anyone considered thinking about the 'Super' theme of the title and thinking along the lines of 'Superman' - especially with the colours - a 'superhero' bear? Maybe as an alternative?

Chemji - thank you for resubmitting. I like #8 and the way you have adjusted it to make it more simpler and have had good feedback from others on it. I'm thinking it is maybe too blue - although it does fit in with 'seaside colours' I can't help thinking it needs something to 'lift' it a little bit. Other than that, really do like it so thank you.

Dragonlily #7 and #11. I'm really liking these! I'm showing a preference for number #11 because of the font used for the weston-super-bear bit. I was wondering if we could drop the cloud and maybe simplify the colours used to 3 or 4 as thinking of it from an embroidery perspective, it would be easier to stitch out in less colours. Also, would it be possible to curve the 'weston-super-bear' text so that it follows the curve of the bear head and perhaps put the tag-line into the bear head following the curve of the sand sea? Really liking what you have done so far so thank you!

#1 - thank you for your submission - I must admit I wasn't too keen at first but I think it's the colours that put me off initially - perhaps we could try blue/orange/white or red/black/white?

Had difficulty reading the font so perhaps we could try something plainer?

Lastly, love the use of the teddy bear but was wondering if you have anything simpler and more cartoon like? Looking at it from a stitching out embroidery viewpoint, the detail and shading on that would be complicated.

Thank you, I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

#2 Really like the shape of the logo and the bear print tracks - would prefer the landscape to be more 'beach' like as Weston isn't really a city landscape. Do like the font used and again perhaps we can drop the tagline as it is probably too much. Like the colours used so far. Thank you, look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Thank you all for your submissions, I would like to make the following comments.

#3 Love the simplicity of the bear paw idea and the primary colours - I was wondering if we could drop the tag line as it looks far too bulky altogether. I will always be referring to the business in it's full title so don't think the WSB is necessary either. Shadow under the paw print not needed as it would not work embroidered. Thank you, look forward to seeing what you come up with.
