#24, #25, #26 I like these as a logo that could work on a web site or in print, but I can't see how I could use it as an app icon. I've given some guidance on this in the previous comment.
I've come up with some guidelines that I think are true not only for me, but for any product logo that is also going to be used as an app icon.
The logo will be used in two different ways:
1. On a website or in print
2. As an app icon
They have slightly different constraints so I can accept designs that either work in both cases, or two slightly different designs that are tweaked to handle the different constraints.
For a website or in print you have a lot of freedom, except that the background will be white. You are free to separate the icon and product name or to merge them.
For an app icon there are two main constraints:
1. The icon must fit in a rounded square
2. The icon can't contain the product name
The reason the icon can't contain the product name is because when it is displayed the product name will be displayed below it in a san-serif font. If the icon contains the product name then it will be being displayed twice and look a bit odd. You can see this obviously in this screenshot: https://plus.google.com/photos/118419706335900136035/albums/5769048179303949777/5769048175632036530
It seems I missed something from the brief. The instrument we are launching for is the piano. So for #11, #12, #13 I really like what you have done, but would it be possible to see a piano instead of a guitar. If these ideas are chosen I see that in the future it could be a theme with a variety of different instruments.
#7 I like the little man, but I'm not seeing that the whole image would work as an app icon
#6 A neat idea, though it took me some time to work out what the image was. I wonder if it could be made a bit more obvious.
#4 I like this a lot. If you have anything else in this style I would love to see it.
#3 I'm not going for this particular icon, but there could be others that would work for me. When it come to what I referred to as a 'colors and shapes' icon I prefer curvy to pointy
For those that have included a ninja I prefer either cartoon-like or abstract.
My favourite logo, so far, has managed to add a character to the name by adding a pair of eyes.
I've only had one draft that tried to be what I called 'colors and shapes'.
MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files.

No-one has yet submitted any music themed ideas.
