I would like to say thank you to all the designers that participated in this contest. Your talent is wonderful.

It was certainly a difficult decision for my group to make.

I wish we could take them all (well, most of them!) but here's the final vote:

    3rd place - #36 by mihai2511
    2nd place (tie) - #19 by zoelhunt & #32 by ideate

And the winner is: #34 by mihai2511

    Congratulations.

Again, thanks, and I wish you all the very best in the future.

#37 Antropic, I like that better. Thanks for the change.

#30 ideate, is it possible to make the words bolder and show me how it would look in black & white as well? We do a lot printing in b&w and I'm not sure how the grass inside is going to translate. I really like it though.

#24 I would still really like to see this with the FMCG not quite so transparent. Possible?

#35 mihai2511, is it possible to resize the graphic to fit the length of the words grouping? ie. it would be a longer graphic and end up squared off with the words (at least at the non-transparent end.) I like the size of the words.

I'm still a bit bothered by the fact the F in FMCG does not come out the same size as the other letters so that when they run in a vertical line they look 'off'. I know this is a problem with the letter itself and none of the designs.

Can anyone tell me how much leeway a project holder gets at the end of the contest if they pick a winner? Can they work with the winner after the contest closes to change a colour on the final design ie. colour of the words? Are we told what font is used so that a tagline can be added to certain materials at a later date? If any one has a minute to answer that, I'd appreciate it.

Note to all: 'Community Group' needs to be same weight as 'Fletcher's Meadow'.

#33 - I like it. :) Please see note above though.

#30 - like the idea of the letters with the meadow/grass -- the name of the group needs to be bigger though.

    #26, 27, 23 - a litte too much promotion of the grass.

#24 - Interesting -- perhaps a little too transparent on the FMCG?

#22 - Striking. May be a little too corporate for the rest of my group but I like it. Wonder if there's some way to make what I think you're using as 'blades of grass' and colour them a different shade of green than the surrounding grass? Just to make the actual blades look grassier. Wow, yeah, I'm not explaining it well! Sorry. This is nice though.

#21 - Like the simplicity but the grass looks just a bit 'off' for some reason. Sorry.

#20 - Again, nice simplicity. Would like to see it without the glow and with the turquoise getting a bit blue-r.

#19 - Cute. I like the plant but it probably needs to more like grass than a plant. Weight on Community Group needs to be the same as Fletcher's Meadow.

#17 - Still like your wording layout :) but a bit too much going on with the graphic.

I have now upped the money and guaranteed the contest now. This comes out of my own pocket so I'm really crossing my fingers that you'll all come through for me with something fantastic.

Please note that I'm looking for the type of sky blue that is in the wording in MsQbik's #12. Not too turquoise-y please for 2 colour logos -- in logos of more than 2 colours 'some' turquoise is a nice contrast as seen in some of these logo drafts.

Thanks for continuing to come up with ideas. Your talent is appreciated.

#5 is interesting in it's simplicity, but I don't know if anyone would realize that those are blades of grass?

#9 Interesting, but a bit too much going on and loses the name.

#10 Still liking the play of the lettering but really not much liking the symbol.

#11 Nice try - not crazy about the moon-shape thing, not sure about 'people' being in the moon thing but it's an interesting possibility. Wonder if you could try one with some kind of grass/sky going on.

#12 the heads on the moon-thing are a bit 'blobby'

#13 - Very nice. Could you make the initials heavier -- while I personally like the little green hills are area is ridiculously flat -- not a hill to be seen. Flatten a little? The colouring is very nice. I'm not nuts about the tiny possessive 's'. Nice grass ;-)

    #14 - Whoa. Feel like I need 3-D glasses on. :D

Thanks everyone -- It does seem that I'm leaning toward some 'grass' in the theme I think. Less emphasis on houses/people. Wondering -- and this is going to sound weird, but if you get the right grass, what are your thoughts on sticking one or two flowers in it? I don't mean cartoon-like, perhaps even just a tiny dot of colour (probably blue?) Or same colour as the grass and have it be a bit taller like a piece of wild grass - I guess I'm trying more for a stylized 'meadow'. Could look like heck though so use your own best judgement.

Just wanted to clarify that I am actually paying for the logo as stated PLUS crediting the artist on our materials as well.

Just wanted to say, that because we're a volunteer organization, we don't have money -- we give of our time and expertise. I wish I could offer more $ for this logo. We are willing, however, to credit the winning designer on our blog and handout material with links to his/her own website etc. if that is of any help in boosting your business. I realize it's not much but we ARE getting more well-known all the time. :)

Mauigraphics, your pics are really small (??) -- can't really see them; don't know what's up with that. They don't open up any larger.

Think I'm liking the addition of the grass blades in #5 & #6 but maybe more than 2? No globes please we're trying to be a bit more 'local' - not sure about houses either (but could be persuaded by the right design.)

I like the blue in Lungfishdesign's logo - but, sorry, thought it was a messed up globe until I finally realized they were hands. :-(

Please note that 'Community Group' needs to be the same weight as 'Fletcher's Meadow'to distinguish ourselves from the builder's 'Fletcher's Meadow' signs in our area.

I'm still liking the interesting initialization of #1 & #2 - as we do use our initials quite often as well. (FMCG)

    Great stuff everyone. I'm impressed.

Thanks for starting the ball rolling, roncyrusdesigns. I like the idea of the two-tone letters but that F doesn't line up and throws off the symetry - don't know whether you'd have any luck with a different font? Not crazy about the abstract people(?) kind of reminds me a nuclear radiation symbol ;-)
The blue is little more turquoise than I'd like (same colours as the mycroburst logo actually) - don't mind the green tho. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
