I was not aware of the logo used by Ubuntu and have withdrawn the logo from consideration. I have also removed the logo containing the same font from consideration as well. Given the number of logos up for consideration, I had not noticed the similarity to draft #235.
Designer "Magnum" has logos with blatant plagiarism in his submissions. The first and most obvious is draft #573 which is a direct ripoff of the Ubantu logo seen here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Brand . In addition, the other submissions from him (draft #306 and draft #307) bear a very close resemblance to my logo submission, draft #235. While I understand that identical typefaces my be used by different designers, the fact that it is also paired with 3 squared shapes seems vary suspicious and should be evaluated. Thank You.
Okay,.. only 6 hours left to deadline. I guess that's my last draft proposed (well, unless if @Cearna wants me to revise any of my submissions) :D
And good luck to all of you, guys! ;)
@Cearna,
But would it be okay if the molecule icon kinda look squished and flat-stretched like that for a logo?
Another question, would you prefer it be presented here in a vertical or horizontal layout? as it might related to available dimension for the logo in your product. Or you would like both be showed in one entry? (because each might has different ratios, thus it might need justifications in spacing, size, etc)
Number 42 is winning partly because the way they put the molecule, it keeps it from looking like a Micky Mouse. Some of the other designs have done this as well. However, I am concerned about the Micky Mouse look for some of my favorites.
When looking to stylize the ball and stick, I think #12 is a good abstract idea on how to make these. Variations of this would be interesting. Of course #12 does not have actual water molecules, and I would like the actual water molecules. However, as I said earlier, be careful to avoid making it look like Micky Mouse.
Some have played with the distance of the balls which I like, but I a finding that if you get too close it looks like the Micky Mouse icon.
In general, I like the ball and stick versions of the molecule, but please smooth out the ball and stick so it does not look like a ball was stuck on a stick. Abstract versions are best.
Regarding sizing of the icon versus the text. The logo of Novaris is a good reference point.
I have some really good designs incorporating the water molecule. At this point, if you don't incorporate the water molecule, I probably won't choose you.
I really want the water molecule(s) in the design, but I like them to be abstract. Somewhat like #12 but actually water molecules. Don't like the stick figure ones currently proposed.

Good Luck to all!
yours is nice too, I bet you gave it a heavy thought on that delicate spacing.
Cheers
And good luck everyone! I only get to submit one draft, that 105 degrees of hexagonal atoms :))
@aerodynamic, maaan, I can help it but to say yours are so good! they simply WOW me. :)) Great job mate!
@flipit, I believe you mean CEARNA? (not CAERNA) maybe there's still time if u want to re-submit
And good luck to all of you, guys! ;)
