After examining quite a few of the different design concepts, I have decide to stick with the building concept.
So for all of those working with concept two (where a city skyline is used in the middle of the "P"), do do any more of these designs and focus on the building design concept.
Another great concept has come up for those who want to take a stab at this angle.
Get rid of the building image altogether. Then emphasize on the letters "KP". Place a skyline in the "P" in place of the hole in the loop. Keep the same leaf ring that I described in the last post.
Thanks for all of the new submissions, we're starting to get some very creative concepts going now.
Lets narrow down the direction that we are working toward now...
IMAGE DESIGN
-------------------------------------------------
1) I like the designs that have a ring circling the building
2) I like the rings that are not a complete circle (there is a gap between the head and the tail)
3) I like the rings that are tilted a bit and give the illusion that the building is come up out of it
4) Instead of using an arrow on the end of the ring, I like the designs that use a leaf instead
5) Since we are using a leaf on the ring, we don't need one on the building anymore
6) Draft #18 I like you concept of using circuitry in place of the veins on the leaf. I would like to keep that idea but change it up a bit. I would like to see some designs that use circuitry on the building (perhaps have some random windows with the circuitry connecting the windows)
IMAGE COLOR
-------------------------------------------------
1) I'll be using this logo a lot on white backgrounds and black backgrounds, so any sort of grays may not show up too well.
2) I like the combination of greens and blues. Maybe try some green leaf rings with blue buildings and vice versa, and I'm still open to any other creative combinations that you guys may come with.
TEXT DESIGN
-------------------------------------------------
1) I like the designs where the top line of the P runs into the K and the vertical line of the P doesn't go all the way to the top (basically leaving no line to close in the loop part of the letter)
2) I would like to see "evolutions" in all lower case letters
3) Use the full name "evolutions", not "evolution"
4) Draft #28 I like the font that you used that has the "e" in "evolutions" sort of rocked back a little bit
Keep up the good work everybody. These designs are looking very good!
I apologize. Where I reference Draft #3 in that last post, I meant Draft #8. I did not mean to make any specific comments for Draft #3 in the last post.
1) Draft #3 I really like your idea of adding a leaf in place of the dot over the i. Don't change that. However, that leaf is going to be hard to see at times if the image is small, so I would still like to see something incorporated into the building design.
2) Draft #3 and Draft #7. The current choice of building that you have used has the feel of a "giant corporation". Please see if you can come up with a creative design that has more of a small business appeal to it. Something that doesn't seem so cold/rigid (big corporation), but is a little more personal and inviting to a small business client.
3) I will still like to see if anyone can come up with some sort of creative way to incorporate the idea of automation or building control into the design. We primarily deal lighting control and energy savings via intelligent light level management. However, we are not limited to this and do other building system integrations as well.
MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files.
Thanks for submissions so far. Here are some comments to get things moving along.
1) After seeing both design types, I have decided that I do not want anything that is letters only, like draft #4
2) I really like the concept of incorporating a building like in draft #3. However, I don't really like the exact picture used in draft #3. Mainly, it took me a little bit to figure out what was going on with the symbol at the top and I would like to see something that our clients can quickly figure out.
3) For the building color, I would like to see something that utilizes a darker green, similar to the background in draft #2
4) Along with the building image, I would like to see something to emphasize "green" and energy efficiency, like maybe a leaf or branch or anything that would symbolize that.
5) Also, if possible, some sort of way to represent controls or automation
6) I think that the design of draft #3 would have gone over better if we had something from 4) in there

In other words, no more submissions that do not have a building at all, and make KP the focus.
Thank you.
Keep the ideas coming!
