Logo for an environmental analytical laboratory

  GCAL Analytical Laboratories, LLC

  No

Logo needs to reflect a lab that has the capabilities, instrumentation and infrastructure to handle a large and detailed oriented volume/scope of business. This lab has the ability with its one location, to handle the same book of business that the competition is doing with multiple locations. Major competitors are TestAmerica, PACE Labs, Accutest, Lancaster Laboratories. This is a re-branding of the company to take it from the reputation of a "mom & pop" to a stronger player in the field of analytical testing. The owners & management are young and aggressive but know the value of solid customer service. Logo needs to convey precision and quick results to the customer.

Currently the logo is black and red. We would like to stay along those lines since this is a re-branding and not a new business. I would like to see charcoal used instead of black and the red to not be an orange red but more of a cayenne red. Other shades of grey could also be used in addition.

Dont mind seeing lower case "gcal" or "GCAL". Would like the symbol/icon to reflect chemistry or the environment, since we test soil, groundwater, air samples...but not to pigeon hole us to only those 3 options. Also open to adding one other pop of color if needed? I am uploading 2 designs that I kind of liked but by no means should you limit yourself to just this design type.
