    nice logo, aadesign

I made that book shadow intentionally. But you can choose what you like better.

@aadesign, #50 is even better than #46. The gloss effect worked out great! I just think that you forgot to change the book shadow (not the reflection) in the dark version to a lighter shade of gray (as in #46) and kept it the same darker shade of the light version, so it doesn't look as good.

@aadesign, draft #46 is amazing. There is a problem though, we do not know if we should go with this concept or the concept of draft #41.

We want a change in draft #41 to make it a 5 stars draft just like #46:

    1) Change #41 typography and Use the exact same typography of #46, including the very, very nice scorpion tail in the "S"

    2) Remove the scorpion tail from within the "book" (the 'L' book) as it is already in the 'S' bellow.

    3) Keep the dancer inside the book, and fill in the gap left by the removal of the scorpion (maybe leaving it as an ordinary page...)

With these changes, we'll have the hardest time ever chosing which design is best.

    Best wishes,

    Felipe

#43 - @aadesign Woman! You ARE freaking talented! That "dancer" looks like an L and an S, very subtle, very nice! I think that the scorpion tail looks out of place in this design (and I really don't bother with it as the rest is great!). The typography is not as good looking as in other designs like #22, but the concept is at least as good as #39 and I really think my wife will fall in love with it! (she is sleeping right now as it is 00:50 AM in Rio...)

@aadesign, i've said I would eliminate the new designs in error: I'll downgrade them from 4 stars to 3 stars due to the change in typography, but I love the concept!

@aadesign, I just forgot one thing: I like the "LucianaSciammarella" in blue over the light background, and then the little twist you used in draft #23 by changing it to a light color and the text bellow to blue. I like to have this small but interesting "change" in colors when going to a dark background. It would look great in a two-sided business card, one side dark the other light.

@aadesign, I loved the new submissions (#37, #38, #39, #41), and I was so mesmerized by the great looking "books" that I only noticed the typography change in the "Luciana Sciammarella" text later. I don't like it as much as I liked it before, as in drafts #33 and #32, which I thought was perfect. No space between the name and surname, and the difference in font weight, they were great!

I'll eliminate the new submissions so that you can upload them again with the changed typography (I really hope it is just a matter of copy and paste for you, I don't want to give you more work than you already have!)

@aadesign, we simply loved designs #34 and #35, but we'd prefer the books forming the stylized LS to be side by side as in the other designs... I'd even give it 4 stars, but my wife asked me to downgrade it to 3 stars because she wants to reserve the 4 stars (and to date chosen winner of the contest) for a version of this same logo with the books side by side as in #33 (but with the amazing and subtle symbols of #34 and #35)

@aadesign, I think the scorpion in #25 could be more subtle, but brighter or more transparent or glossy... I can't say for sure...

@aadesign, is it possible for you to try to improve over #10 draft? Maybe try to incorporate some of her personal traits in it, or add a little more juice to the typography... But don't use my "ideas" as a guide, everything is your call!

I've readjusted the ratings to reflect my current appraisal. I'de liked some attempts to incorporate my wife's personality into the design (dancer, zen, yoga, scorpion zodiac sign) but I think that it was sometimes too subtle and others too blatant!

@aadesign, drafts #23 and #22 are even better than #12 (I'll eliminate #12 for that matter). If I choose this as the winning design I would like to have both dark and light versions, is there a problem with that?

I want to be able to use it in business cards with one side in black and the other in white...

So this is kind of a requirement for all logos: they must play well in both light and dark backgrounds...

Here's some feedback for everyone trying to create a design that is professional but which at the same time captures my wife's personality:

    * she is a dancer teacher too,
    * she has an AUM tattoo (she loves yoga, indian and zen-like things),
    * her zodiac sign is scorpion and she has a scorpion tattoo on the leg and the zodiac scorpion sign tattooed on the foot.

Designs incorporating or alluding to one or multiple of these personal traits will have much more chance of being a winning design.

I've reconsidered all star ratings so that they now reflect better the logos I like most.

@aadesign, if you could mix the typography of #14 with #12 sign idea I think it would be great! Me and my wife liked #12 idea, even though it is a little less formal, but I disliked the font selection. We would also like to see how it would play in a dark background. Thank you very much for your incredible, inspirational work.

@aadesign, very strong submissions! I've taken the liberty to look at your other designs and they are really incredible, and let me tell you one thing (but please, don't take me wrong): I think that these two submissions here pale in comparison with your other works, and I think these two are very good still!

I specially enjoyed the Tapestry and the BichiConcepts logos!

I'm upgrading this project to "guaranteed" and I would love to see some other submissions from you!

As a guide to designers, here is my wife's current web page (work in progress still). The colors of that page are NOT a requirement for the logo, I'm more than willing to change anything on the web page to meet a nice logo, but there you can see the Librarian symbol (the alladin's lamp) and another symbol to show her relation with system analysis. These are not mandatory, but can help as a guide future designs:

Hi Christina, draft #6 is very nice. The problem is the dark background. I don't know if the logo will logo good in a white/brighter background. Maybe the mark above could be a shade of brown, so that it would look good in a white background. I can't provide solutions to this design problem, I'm no designer, but here is a good dark/bright solution by another designer:

Draf #2 is still far from what I'm seeking, but I like the idea of trying to use the initials to form a sign/mark, but in overall much of the same comments I did to draft #1 is also pertinent here.

Hi Christinawiller, I've eliminated your draft #1 because it really does not look like anything I'm seeking for this logo. It lacks sophistication, cut-edge"ness", balance, the typography is not good, and it looks a little amateurish for my tastes, but thanks for the effort anyway (by the way I liked your picture perfect weddings logo a lot!)
