    Dear designers,

Many thanks to all of you for the wonderful designs and all the work that went into them!

There are several designs we really like, some of the surprisingly similar actually, which was probably also due to the feedback we provided and is certainly not a bad thing. However we need to give it some thinking now and will discuss with some people and we probably need to sleep over it a couple of nights to come to a conclusion.

You'll hear from us by next week-end what is going to be the winning design.

Kind regards and many thanks again to all of you!

Thanks all for your effort so far! There are some really interesting proposals there already.
As the contest approaches its end, we started to provide star ratings.
1 or 2 stars mean, that this is probably not a road to continue.
3 stars is a good design, with something to it.
4 stars are candidates for the final selection.
5 stars would mean a really fully convincing proposal. However, there are no 5 stars yet that convinced us to the last detail ;-)

To keep a better overview, we eliminated variations of concepts (not entire concepts) and only kept the versions of a concept that we liked more. We also gave individual feedback to every designer. If someone has additional questions, feel free to contact us. We're happy to provide more details.

General remark to everyone: We didn't want you to use Emerald AND Turquoise in the same design but wanted to see either of them. We really don't think those two go together. Please just stick with TURQUOISE for the time being (we might do color versions at a later stage). Thanks.

    Attention Designers!!

MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files.

    Thanks,

    MB/LDG/LS Team

Sorry, didn't realize you can't see each others proposals.
Please read through the feedback anyway please as most of it is of general nature. We will provide individual feedback in the future.
    Regards

    Dear designers,
Many thanks for the submissions so far! There are already some interesting approaches and we could still imagine several ways to go as we wrote already in the brief. Therefore we would like NOT (yet) to rate the designs at this stage of the contest in order not to limit the creative directions.
Instead, we will provide open feedback in the comment section once a day on every design, so you can better understand what exactly we like and dislike with each proposal instead of an overall rating. We think this helps more for further proposals and revisions.

    GENERAL FEEDBACK TO EVERYONE:

    - Please read the brief. We have explicit requirements with regard to color choice and style. Not reading the brief is a waste of (your) time.

    - We explicitely required one part of the logo (or all of it) to be iconized, as we need an icon e.g. for product imprints or publications (see brief for details). Many of the solutions don't meet that requirement in our view.

    - In the case of a pure typeface logo we think the icon of the initial letter(s) and the full spelling wouldn't (need) to go together. Facebook also uses the "F" and the full name mutually exclusive in different contexts. The great challenge is to find something that works as an isolated letter as well as in the context of the full brand name.

    - Although renderings look beautiful, it's not yet necessary at this stage to render 3D-logos onto surfaces to visualize (for the final design this will be much appreciated though).

    FEEDBACK DRAFTS 1-15:

#1 Wrong color. Unless someone really has a brilliant other color idea - with the arguments to support it - please stick to the specified emerald OR turquoise. In particular no baby clichés (pink, baby-blue).
Pls do not provide designs solely on black background. Although the logo might appear sometimes inversed, the most common execution will be on white or eventually on light colors.
What would be the iconized part of this proposal?

#2 / #3 Nice idea to use the initials NB as the iconized element.

However, the current execution is not well readable and too complex to be immediately understood (the "Nb" initials are not recognizable unless you know what it means and the full spelling is too small).

#4 Wrong color, wrong typeface (at least this is not what we consider a modern, stylish or nordic look & feel as written in the brief)

#5 We like the way you combined the two words by linking the apostrophe to the "b". However for our taste the design looks too "bold" to be stylish/upmarket enough.

#6 / #7 Putting the "Best" into a comic bubble is too playful for our taste. Remember that we want a design for the urban parent target group, not their kids. What would be the iconized part?

#8 / #9 The colors emerald and turquoise were meant to be mutually exclusive, they really don't go together because they are so close.

The typefaces look a bit arbitrarily combined. We don't see the stylish or visual connection between the two words. What would be the iconized part?

#10 Same as number #9 except for the "t" which looks like a death-cross to us.

#13 Nice idea to pick up the N to create the icon. However, we find the icon a bit to complex (the N is not recognizable, the icon spontaneously looks more like a wheel or church window). Nice typeface. The "N"s arc is so unique that it would maybe be icon enough already.

#14 Nice visual link between typeface and icon. However we're not sure whether the owl/N would be confused for an "M" and it looks somewhat "cathedralic", because of the "archy" typeface. The typeface for "best" however seems somewhat unfitting.

Both concepts of nelly83 are so far the ones that are the closest match with the briefing.

#15 We like the N icon, however; it looks a bit too much like the "Nespresso N", except for the dots, and it has no visual relationship with the typeface of the Name (Nespresso e.g. uses the same N as icon and in the typeface logo). Also read the comments regarding a pure typeface logo above. Again the color issue; don't mix colors that are so close together; go for one or the other.

Thanks again and we're looking forward to future submissions

    Hi!
