I publish print and online magazines that focus exclusively on local healthcare and healthcare-related services that are offered in the local communities in which I publish. For example: the Our Health edition for Southwest Virginia only highlights local healthcare and healthcare-related information in that area. I currently have three editions of Our Health serving three different communities. I plan to expand into other communities. You can visit my websites at www.ourhealthvirginia.com and www.ourhealthrichmond.com to see my current look and feel. I want to completely redesign my Our Health logo. What I don't like about it now is that it is not created in a bold font that will make it stand out more clearly. Also, I don't like that the "ends" of the logo aren't equal making it look more balanced on the left and right ends. What I mean by this is that the "slash" going through the logo throughs the logo off balance horizontally. Additionally, the logo makes it appear that my name is "OurHealth" will no space between the "Our" and "Health". In writing, I always write the name out with the space between "Our" and "Health". I am open to having no space between "Our" and "Health" as long as it looks good. In doing research of other health magazine logos, I find that I like the "Men'sHealth" logo's font. It is balanced on the ends and is crisp and clean. Please do not copy the look of Men'sHealth's logo. This is just a frame of reference. I am not sure if I like a serif or san serif font. I definitely do not want to have the logo's font look exactly like a regular font that most designers are familiar with. I want the font to be really different and standout. As for the tagline: I'd like to see how the tagline when it is placed placed either above or below the main logo. As for colors: I would like to identify a new color standard used in the logo that I can use as my color standard. It can be two colors. I want to move away from the blue and the shades of blue that my current logo is made with. Bottom line is I want a crisp, bold, rich looking logo that is easily recognized when standing from a ways back. What I currently have does not stand out when you step back from it because of the "thin" font currently used. I'd like to have a logo designed with just the words "Our Health" and the tagline, then I would also like to have a symbol created using "OHM". The symbol needs to be very creative and not just "OHM" in a circle. I want the symbol and the logo to share similar qualities so it is clear they belong together. The symbol should also include underneath it the name of the community it represents. For example: Southwest Virginia or Lynchburg and Southside or Greter Richmond. As I expand into new markets, I want to be able to include the community name beneath this symbol. Kind of like the Shell logo or Apple logo.

Please use your judgement, but do not use my current colors. I also don't want it to have neon, flashy colors. The colors should be ones that convey highly proffessional, classy, dominant, etc.
