The Gent , Brooklyn born luxury lifestyle Dear designers/ creators! Thank you for taking the time to read this, I appreciate all your support and creativity. I would like for you to create a logo. My company's name is (The Gent). The Gent is a Brooklyn-based luxury lifestyle brand. We will be designing everything from fragrances, candles, to men's shaving goods, as initial products. But The Gent will continue to move forward to designing accessories for the iPhone, iPad, etc. The five year plan is to create and sell a clothing line for men starting with suiting. So, what I am looking for in the logo and designs is definitely something that reflects masculinity as well as classic elegance. It would be nice to have chocolate brown, black, light gray and light rose gold in the logo. The addition of a crimson red that will complement the chocolate brown and gray as well as possibly royal blue that will do the same would be great in the business card, letter head and envelope design. I would like for the continuity to reflect a sense of nostalgia but not obvious nostalgia. Something ultimately that I can use for the next 10 years or so. Without seeming dated. The Logo can be fairly simple. I think the right font, playing with size and shape/angle can do allot. All that being said please bring your own individuality and creativity, if something hits you that you think I might like please, please, submit. Feel free to blow my mind! I am very open to other points of view. One more note I do like black business cards. At least on one side. So with that and to avoid any confusion. The logo will need to look good on both a black background or a light colored background. This silhouette needs to be interchangeable and instantly recognizable.
