  Logo design for Tender Transitions

  Tender Transitions

Providing essential in-home postpartum care to new and growing families.

  Yes

I am a postpartum doula and certified lactation counselor. As a postpartum doula I offer personalized, in-home support, education, and practical techniques and tips to new parents to help the transition to parenthood a smoother one. As a lactation counselor I assist new moms with getting comfortable and building their confidence with breastfeeding their baby. I want my Tender Transitions identity to a) offer a visual of what postpartum care feels like as many people are not yet familiar with this service; b) give a sense of a doula who is warm and soothing and also trendy, upbeat, modern. Old enough to be experienced but not too old that 20 and 30-somethings wouldn't want to hire me because they may think I can't relate to them.My website is currently under construction but the test URL for reference is http://tendertransitions.route21a.com/. The current Tender Transitions typeface is a placeholder and does not need to be used.

  not sure

I want to avoid any sort of child-like logo. No comic sans or similar font. No clip-art type artwork. I also want to avoid anything that is too "earthy". Many people's impressions of birth and postpartum doulas is that we all are super earthy. This is not me. I come from the corporate world previously, and can relate best to suburban, affluent women who are modern and mainstream.
If the logo can include an image, it should somehow indicate a "third-party support person". Someone closely and personally supporting the new parents.
