Thanks for all designers for submitting their work. We are spoilt for choice so have to make some decisions to keep the final selection low in number - unfortunately all are of very high quality!
Draft 23 - interesting work, getting closer - maybe orange might work better instead of yellow?
20 and 18 - also, nice touches. the black background and the contrast work really well as a logo - we are not sure how good black would look as a background for where the logos would be placed though. the orange version is also very nice - we were wondering whether you could make use of a good tinge of blue instead of the black font
Draft 11 and 12. Ideally more color as we need to transpose this logo, with colors to vehicles to be seen from a distance as well. Fonts preferred simpler, possibly thicker - denoting rough, manly, reliable service.
What about a play with the U as in Greek letter Mu and the last Y in Utility, together with an appropriate logo?
Draft 10 - I can't say that that is not original :) However I need more color, more simple fonts possibly flatter fonts and a logo which shouts handyman services as the effects on this one tend to pale out when seen at a distance.
What about if the Utility were made a symmetrical word i.e. the U and the Y at the beginning and end of the word were made to micro each other? - perhaps U as in the greek letter Mu?
The vibrant orange seems to adapt quite well to these designs, maybe a good color to contrast with this background?
A play with silhouetted arms holding hand or power tools (related to handyman services), would be interesting to see
MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files.
Morazz - Do you like the colours I have used though? and do like the typeface I have used? also, the shadow isn't part of the logo. It was just used for impact. Thanks.
Dear designers, given this is a veiled contest, pls don't necessarily assume any remarks/suggestions/no do's we post to apply also to your design. We will be quite specific as to which draft we are remarking upon. Thanks for your interest and feedback everybody.
Draft 4 - pls don't be constrained by our choice of colors. Feel free to experiment. There is a lot of white in this graphic, we would prefer no shadows The use of tool outlines could be improved to my non-design oriented mindset.
Draft 1 - Thanks, it is neat and simple, but I would like to see more catchy/appropriate colors.
Draft 3 - Although similar to Draft 2, I prefer this more. The orange and blue play seems to complement the design quite well - even the way the figure is designed. I would like to see *some* more design detail as there is some significant unused space.

only a few more days left. so far we have seen a number of drafts and it appears that the best designs show the following attributes:
orange background/blue font style (jury still out on the best mix of colours though, but needs to be high visibility)
clean thick (not slender) font
utility written in a clean symmetrical form, using the greek letter Mu and the y at the end mirroring each other
a simple design which conveys the idea of a handyman service
We look forward to further proposals, and thanks as always for your input.
Keep them coming! :)

could be positioned in a circular form, or at one end of the logo, positioned vertically one on top of each other.
Trusting in your creative mojo :)

Thanks both for your efforts thus far.
