I am very impressed with your drawing of Providentia, but I am not overly fond of the surrounding circle. Is there any way you can make it abit more formal?
Also, I condider the words 'Bassett' and 'Providentia' to be of equal importance. Could you make both words the same size?
Although I very much like your drawing of Providentia, I think that for the context of a corporate logo, she looks too sad. Is there anyway you can make here look more proud?
Thank you for your concept. I quite like the style of font you have chosen. The graphic at the top looks very tasteful and elegant, however it does not strike a chord in quite the same way as Artex's depiction of Providentia does.
I have taken a look at your portfilio, and I like what you have produced for Columbo Real Estate, although I am looking for something with a lower profile, that exudes more formality, which you concept is, though I the emblem is not along the lines of what I am seeking.
Thank you for your submissions. I like your choice of font; it looks professional and tasteful. However, I am not overly fond of the overal shape of the logos, not the depiction of Providentia.
What Artex has produced thus far is very much along the lines of what I am looking for - something that is low key, elegant, professional and tasteful.
I would be delighted so see some more concepts along those lines.
Thank you for your submission. In regards to an image of Providentia, I am looking for an interpretation of Providentia per se, rather than the statue. I included the photo of the statue in the brief because it is the only image that I know of. I am not overly fond of the font, I think I prefer the more classical and formal looking fonts in some of the other designs. Also, I require 'Bassett' rather than 'Basset'.
Out of them all, I prefer #10. Will the line look okay when printed? I love your suggestion of silver ink, and I think it would look excellent. What are your thoughts on the underline? I don not know why, but for some reason I prefer it.
I also like #13, but I would like to see it with the underline, like #10 so that I can make a comparison of the font and colour. I am not sure which of the two letter spacing and colour concepts I prefer.
I too am not overly fond of #12 and you are definately right about #15.
I have noticed that in some of the designs, the lettering is not the same height as the image to the left. Obviously, doing so would make the logo longer. Is there some kind of standard with the design world as to what dimensions a good logo should be? I for one would be happy with a longer logo, if it looked excellent and would still fit on a business card okay.
Thank you for your concepts. I am astounded by the creativity that has been displayed so far within this contest. The statue that you have drawn looks excellent, however I do have a few concerns. Firstly, although the statue that I have included in my brief features some nudity, I want to avoid this within the logo, in case as it may offend some customers (especially those in a foriegn market). I for one think that your rendering of Providenia looks very elegant and tasteful, but I want to avoid even the lightest nudity. I appologise for not mentioning this in the creative brief. The second concern that I have is that because of the ammount of colour and the shading, the image does not scale as well as some of the other concepts.
I am very interested in seeing where you can go with this concept, as you are obviously very talented and your rendering of Providentia is excellent. Please read some of the suggestions that I have put forwards with regards to the other concepts put forwards so far.
Your choice of colours for this draft demonstrate that these mono-colour designs are very versatile. I like the choice of font, although you have spelt 'Providentia' as 'Provedentia'.
I like the silhouette of Providentia that both you and Artex have employed in your concepts; I think that they look very tasteful and are recognisable. I am not overly fond of the surounding circles however.
I like the verticle bars between the image and writing that is also employed on #2. It looks very tasteful.
I am looking forwards to seeing some more on this concept.
Thank you for your submissions. They are all outstanding; I have obviously made the right choice in choosing this site and I am glad this project hs caught your attention.
My favourite by far is the one featuring Providentia. I am very impressed that despite the level of detail it is still recognisable; I think you have interpreted the photograph of Providentia Brunnen very well. It is elegant and professional and is exactly what I am looking for. I am very much looking forwards to seeing where you go with this.
If you had asked me half an hour ago if I wanted to see a concept with columns, I would have probably have said 'no'. These two concept however are very good and I have changed my mind. That said, I still prefer the logo with Providentia.
Of the three logos, I most like the two with 'Bassett' above 'Providentia'. I am glad that they are the same sized font because as you know, both words are as important to the brand as eachother. By the way, I think you have made an excellent choice with the font.
Regarding the logo with Providentia, would it be possible to englarge the text so that it is inline with the image of Providentia, like what you have done with the first of the column logos.
I am in UK time, so I will next log on at 0500 GMT. I am looking forwards to seeing your next concepts, as the three that you have produced are extremely excellent.
