LocustOrBumblebee.com seeks to empower its local community by offering non-partisan, trustworthy, and peer-reviewed current events and information. The website will report on the politics and logistics of environmental and social sustainability, suggesting paths for a more harmonious civilization and denouncing the maladies we discover in our current systems. Through this gateway we hope to inform Vancouver’s populations of the decisions and activities occurring around them that negatively affect them, the environment, or even some distant population. We will also suggest paths for action and improvement when opportunities for positive change arise. As a means to gain a readership that wouldn’t normally read about these issues, we have also included several useful and entertaining aspects. While documenting and attempting to shape a change towards sustainability is our mission, packaged among it will be morsels of advice, coverage of art and society, pieces of helpful information as well as the general happenings of Vancity and the wider world. Once we gain a larger readership in Vancouver, we hope to spread to other cities around the world. Each international LocustOrBumblebee website will then build off of it’s own local knowledge and expertise on these ever-important topics. In short, we’re going to try to save the world and happify its people. |

The logo I am looking for is for our website: locustorbumblebee.com. LocustOrBumblebee.com seeks to empower its local community by offering non-partisan, trustworthy, and peer-reviewed current events and information. The website will report on the politics and logistics of environmental and social sustainability, suggesting paths for a more harmonious civilization and denouncing the maladies we discover in our current systems. We currently have a simplistic logo and a photo of a sunflower for our facebook page but would like to make the whole site more professional.
