Locks of Inspiration was created to bring inspirational messages and stories to the public. I, Tanya Cross, founder, first came up with this idea working with orphans in Romania. What I thought would be an art project in the mountains of Romania (summer camp) soon turned into an educational event helping orphans learn to cut, color, style hair. As well as putting a smile on a little boy named "Dani". I was given a chance in my earlier years an soon realized these orphans needed a chance. Matrix Hair Corporation was there for me years ago, an I needed to be there for these children. I recently returned to Romania and brought 9 luggage bags of warm coats and sweaters for these orphans and not only cut and colored hair in the orphanage, but worked in 2 salons (with the assistance of a special orphan who is so trying to become a hairstylist) as well as produced a haircoloring video for the orphans in the local school. When spending time with the orphans I again realized the shortage of soaps and shampoos and would like to raise the awareness of the basic neccessities that these children so desperately need. I have a non profit set up and plan to communicate with a micro-giving site as well.
