Thanks to the designers. Me and my small group of helpers are impressed by the designs. The designs were even better than I had hoped. There is not really any "best" design in this contest or any contest. There is just a design that most closely matches the vision of the project creator.

I am going with Draft #35. It was a hard decision!

for example # 23 is the multiple versions, while the draft # 1 through # 23 are different variations

PH, comment from admin it just reminds us that for the designers and not just on this project alone, but applies to all project

Administrator, can you clarify your posting? I got lost with the switch of words from 'variations' to 'version', and with the addition of the modifier 'color' in the second sentence. For example, does the second sentence imply that multiple variations in a single draft can only be different in terms of color? I think I'm correct in reading that 'version' in the second sentence is the same as your use of 'variation' in the first sentence, but I can't be 100% sure given that 2 different words are used. ...I am sure the designers need a clarification.

    Thanks!

    Attention Designers,

You may upload multiple variations of one logo in one draft for the presentation purpose. However, winner of the contest will have to send final files with each version separated hence, one file should only have one color version of the finalized logo.

We would appreciate your cooperation in this regards.

    Thanks!

#16 is very good at capturing the key concept that the church is equally global and local. The only weakness in it is that I want a modern, friendly color scheme.

I like the designs that maximize the text and minimize the images.

The key concept to capture is that 'local' and 'global' are not different but are in fact equally important and also connected, like 2 sides of a coin. This is hard to do visually, but alphakufi has done it with the text part of the design by connecting the 2 words. That is probably the best way to approach it, especially the brain recognizes text much easier than it recognizes visuals that are not text.

Drafts #4 and #5 did a fantastic job of capturing the concept that 'local' and 'global' are 2 sides of one coin, and the designs look modern.

Drafts #1 and #2 might effectively capture the concept of "globalness" being a collection of localities. In the project description, by 'globe', I mean 'the earth'. My fault in not being clear enough. What I'm looking for is the earth as a globe in the design.
