Thanks to everyone for your contributions and hard work, especially elements and monart who gave us a difficult choice. Congratulations to our winner auraavatory.

    Best wishes

To auraavatory - re #60 and #62. We like these designs, but with a couple of alterations.
1.Could you make the background colour solid rather than gradient as this will scan better for greyscale.
    2. Could you remove the little sunrise/sunset at the rear of the picture.
    3. Reduce the height of the word "church" but increase the boldness slightly of the letters

    Good designs though

Some general feedback. The general consensus from folks in the church who are following the competition is that we prefer designs that contain people/figures rather than trees/branches etc. The open bible/people combination is definitely the most popular.

to elements re#23 again a favourite but we would like to see the word church in a slightly larger/bolder format as again it loses a lot when reduced.

auraavatory re#53 we like this design, but would like to see it slightly reduced and contained in a circle (similar to #52) Also could you increase the size and boldness of the word "church" as when the design is reduced it almost disappears.

auraavatary re #35 We like the basic premise, but think the tree is a bit too complex. Could you perhaps simplify with a simpler tree or even a branch with leaves coming from the book?

Question...What does it mean to finalize the design? Does it mean I have picked a winner or just that I like the draft and don't want it altered? Sorry, but this is our first project.

Some feedback for all recent contributors. Thanks everyone for your ideas so far.
    1. Monart re #40 and #41 I like the basic idea of the logo although I would say a little too complex. The church name and initials are three times on the design. Could you simplify please and stick to two colours as in #42 and #44?
    2. Daniel Watson #45...sorry I don't quite get the idea? And I don't want a logo that I need to explain to people.
#35 Nice logo, but still quite religious looking, and not sure how it would translate to greyscale.

To elements re #23 and #24. Nice job. I like the logo contained in the circle. The red really stands out and the black rim makes it look sharp. My wife's favourite so far. Would it be possible to show us another couple of colours? same design perhaps in our existing logo's colours and one other?

to x3mart re #9 with the word "church" could you reduce the letter height, widen the space between the letters and lose the little arrows on either side?

to elements re #11. Best one yet. It is simple and clear and bold. We like it

To Monart. Thanks for the variety of designs you have submitted. We like the designs #16 #17 and #18 with what you have done with the "v" in "living." The sword element is a bit too cliche and is well used in other church type logo's. The open Bible is a bit fussy in design and could be simpler and more stylised. We want to be able to separate the logo symbol from the "Living Word Church" wording so that we can use the two either together or the logo on it's own depending on the format we are using. Hope that's helpful?

I appreciate the work you've done so far. On draft #1 would it be possible to spread the letters of church out more c h u r c h?
On draft #5 the design is simpler, which I like, however church is spelled wrong. On the illustration, could the cover of the book (straight line section) be curved like the pages?

    Thank you for your feedback.
    #4 is an updated one.

It's interesting that both designs so far are sticking closely to the font type we have on our website. We are open to ideas..

Draft #1. I like this and get the idea. Its simple, clean and I like the colours, although I had a couple of comments from people in the church one of whom thought it was a flying squirrel, and the other thought it was a newspaper. I don't know if you can do any variations on the theme?

Re previous comment ---sorry I meant draft #2 has too many lines.

I prefer draft #3 to draft #2. The concept of the open book with life bursting out is good, but both designs are a bit fussy. Draft #2 has too much colour and draft #1 has too many lines. If it could be simplified you would be on more of the right track.
