I love #5 with the exception that the rose is not a Lavatera. Bring it on!

I enjoy the rose on #3. It has an appearance most similar to the actual flower.
I've been using fonts Edwardian Script and Trebuchet MS in my pattern and website content.
Is there a downside to using a white, or transparent, background?
