I will be out of the office most of today and tomorrow, but will be providing feedback as often as possible. Thanks everyone.

I posted a few signature examples since several of you have requested them.

Regarding ratings - I've reserved a rating of 5 for the final rounds and will promote the final designs out of the pool of 4s. I'll select a few for finalization from the pool of 5s.

With some changes, there are several design directions that could work - but these three stand out so far. I referenced the "top" design in each category. I find the issue separating the categories is "fit" with brand/identity - but all are viable.
#9 and #19 - Very clean, and an early top choice. The logo in #19 on the business card is striking. Visual weight is just right between logo and text in #9 making the design very stable. This design most closely matches the "feel" I was after.
#41 - The strength of the design pushed me to reconsider the feel of my brand. I find it hard to find flaws in this design. It feels a little too contemporary to me, but that may be an advantage. It works slightly less well in monochrome. I really appreciate the fresh direction.
#25, #26, #37 - The minimalist approach feels very sophisticated, concise, timeless. With the right combination of logo and font this approach could work. This design also pushed me to reconsider how I would like the design to feel.

I have been trying to respond personally to most designs. If there is some type of general feedback I can provide publicly that will help, or something specific for you, please let me know. Thanks everyone.

My website design currently places the logo on a light gray background. It would be interesting to see how your designs work on both dark and light backgrounds, but it's not a requirement that the design work on both.

The letters in the sample Illustrator file are JG because those are my initials and I often sign my work with them instead of my full name. I had originally thought that I would make a logo using JG, but J and JP are also good options.
