Sorry for the delay. This decision may take a little longer than I thought. We're getting a lot of conflicting opinions and we're currently on the fence. I guess that's what happens when you have 2 such stellar designs.

Looks like it's down to 2 AMAZING designs. We are having a lot of trouble deciding between them. They are 2 completely different concepts and we love them both. You have worked so hard and we are grateful. We will make a decision in the morning. Thank you.

Sorry for the last minute change but we are considering a name change to "Happily Ever After" instead of Happy Endings. Could you please provide this text option. Everything else would stay the same.
    Thanks.

We are thinking of changing the name and would like to see the concepts with "Happy Endings In-Home Pet Euthanasia" Leaving out the word services and adding the word Pet. Thanks!!

Unfortunately no one who looks at these logos seems to interpret the book as a storybook (people seem to think its a bible). So we are thinking about doing away with the whole book idea unless you really feel you can make it look like a fairytale storybook and incorporate it into the design. Thanks.

#25 is too happy. This is a euthanasia service that deals with grieving clients -- we need this logo to be sympathetic.

We really like the font in #23 (or similar styles)!

in my last comment i meant to say "...except a connection to our storybook THEME."

To give you some direction: Here is a link to a logo I am strongly considering using (outside of this competition). It contains all of the design elements I am looking for EXCEPT a connection to our storybook. https://files.me.com/happyendings1/4cqyae

#10: the house has a bit of a real-estate feel to it (a bit corporate) and it lacks connection ti the storybook theme but i like the eye-to eye of the characters.

#9: I love your design. I think the heart beats the semi-circle. I would be curious to see these 2 figures as viewed from behind and some variations in color combinations.

#5: I really like this design. I would like to see it without all the fill. Would it be possible to keep your elements and remove the orange fill. Maybe some gold-leafing to the book and some detail indicating that it's a whimsical storybook may provide contrast a colorless background?

#4: this is a solid design, it may lack a little of the compassion I'm looking for and has a bit of a corporate feel. I would like the text to be more a part of the design.

#3: i would like to be able to discern that this is a book, and maybe some detail on the top of the book indicating that it is a story book (as opposed to a legal ledger or text book). maybe gold leafing to the pages? The text is a bit too large and ornate and the design is all around too dark-- i would like to see it lightened a bit (somber colors).

#1: I am touched by the finger pointing at the star -- it shows communication between the boy and the dog. I would prefer, however, not having black fill if we can avoid it (or any fill at all) as it makes it harder to apply it to different marketing mediums with different backgrounds. Also, I feel that the text in this logo is "next to" the design rather than "part of" the design. It would be nice if we could incorporate it somehow.

I've eliminated #'s 6 and 7 because I dont feel that a single animal character is the way we want to go. we are trying to ephasize the human-animal bond and many of you seem to be doing a great job of that so far.

Also, dont let my suggestions get in your way -- you are the professionals and if you think you have a better idea, by all means go for it!

First let me say how incredibly talented you all are and thank you for working on this project. I want to wait for a few more entries before I start cramping your style with my feedback. Please keep the ideas coming so we can brainstorm.
    Again, Thank you!!
