This is for a product that dries wet electronic devices such as cell phones, MP3 players and digital cameras. (Think dropping cellphone in the toilet/getting pushed in a swimming pool with your phone in your pocket/accidentally sending iPod through the washing machine.) The product name plays off the idea that leaving a wet electronic device in a bowl of white rice will dry it (which is true, it might partially or temporarily work.) HighTech Rice is a synthetic material engineered by scientists to work on a molecular level by attracting, and drawing out the smallest of water molecules from deep inside electronics. I want something "smart" that conveys this product is based in science, yet also a design that is eye catching and "cool" so kids will want to buy it but not so immature that adults will not. Because of the amount of e-waste created this product is also VERY environmentally friendly. I will be playing up this angle in much of my marketing. |

Packaging will be a sticker (white or opaque clear) size 7.5 height x 5.5 wide (2 stickers will fit side by side on a 8.5 x 11 sheet). The actual packaging is a "mylar" looking zipseal top bag. This ideally will have some reference to the fact it works on cellphones; MP3 Players; digital cameras; Sony PSP & other handheld video games; GPS Navigation; remote controls. Another tagline could be -- If water gets in, HighTech Rice can get it out |
