Our company will guide bicycle tourists on self-contained (carrying their own overnight gear), inn-to-inn trips. Our typical customer will be an independent, experienced bicycle traveler who wants a challenging adventure. Our tours cover challenging mileage and terrain each day, but our groups stay in hotels/motels at night and eat their meals in restaurants, so no camping. We will have tours in North America (United States and Canada) only. We have a number of tagline possibilities, including: - Small group, big adventure - Cycle Travel, Simplified - Just Ride! We don't want these in the logo, but include them here so you can get more of a flavor of what we are about. We are an outdoor adventure travel recreation company. |

We will be bicycle touring in the mountains. So, perhaps blue for blue sky, grey and white for the Rocky Mountains with snow. Just some ideas … we’re open on colors, but would generally prefer colors that would appear in nature. We are also planning to use this logo on embroidered wear and as part of a web site. |

Here are some comments on similar logos/web sites: http://www.gosojourn.com/ - like the idea of grass/road under this logo. Not wild about the font, and not sure how it would work as a small logo. http://www.freewheeling.ca Don’t like the wings, but the bicycle wheel is nice. http://www.backroads.com This is one of the largest touring companies in the world, and they have a very simple logo. http://www.vbt.com/ Another business segment leader. We don’t like this logo much. http://www.voga.org/biking.htm I like the idea of a self-contained logo like this one. We don’t want a shield, but perhaps an oval would work. http://www.breakaway-adventures.com/ A logo something like this would work, too. http://www.timbertours.com/ We like the mountains in this one, but not much else about it. http://www.napavalleybiketours.com/ We like the idea of a rectangular/contained logo like this one. http://www.udctours.com/ We’re not sure what the symbol on this logo means, but we like the logo and lettering placement. You'll notice that these logos are all over the place in terms of their design. We are torn between having a "contained" logo - sort of like a badge, or with a border, or a "free-floating" logo. We are looking forward to seeing a variety of concepts, and promise to provide feedback to narrow down the direction. On the other hand, you are the expert, so feel free to challenge us with your awesome creative ideas! |
